Finally trying Prada Beauty | Foundation, 05 Pure Quad and Lipsticks in Mahogany & Sienne

I took my sweet time to try the new Prada Beauty line but I am super happy that I finally did.

We need to have a "Martina Made me buy it" video 😂😂😂 I picked up the Prada foundation because Martina raved about it and we both have very similar tastes in foundation. I've worn it once and love it. Rt now I'm testing out the La Mer foundation, and it's absolutely gorgeous, and I can't put it away. I've bought so many foundations lately so still need to try the Prada more for a more thorough review. I have shade LW10 and it's a bit warm but will be perfect come summertime. As for now I add a bit of my white LA girl foundation pigment to adjust the color to match. It is a very nice foundation so far the couple times I used it.

Haha definitely plenty...I am also super influenced by Charlotte H. I tend to buy foundation rarely...not more than once a year as I prefer to finish some before buying more. It is not a category I like to have too many of.

I love the eyeshadows on you, those warm toned ones are so gorgeous on you! Im tempted by the foundation, but I own way too many so I have to use up before adding to the collection. The lipsticks are fabulous and I think I might by one. You're my personal enabler 😂

I know exactly what you mean...I don't like having too many foundations in rotation either. I highly recommend the soft matte ones.

I love this Prada foundation. I have both Ln10 & Ln15 with Ln15 being a perfect neutral shade match for me. Ln10 does lean more peach. I am a similar shade to Martina but a bit fairer than her.

If you are fairer than Martina and can wear LN15, I am utterly confused by the shade numbering 🤣. Thank goodness LN5 is not a complete disaster.

I have LW5 (and I’m lighter than you are) so I’m nervous that LN5 will be way too light for you. Oh yay! You said light, but workable! I’m so glad! I love the Prada foundation so much on my Combo/Oily skin. It wears fantastically. I wear it every day and have to make myself use something different from time to time so my other foundations get some use. I’ve already started my second bottle. It works for me in the hottest humid summer and during the dead of winter-and that’s never happened for me. I have 2 Prada Quads: the one with the orange pop and the one with the purple pop. I really love them. I still want to try those Lancôme quints! That kind of formula does look so pretty on the lid! I hope they will release more color stories in the future! I’ve got several of the hypermatte lipsticks, and one of the soft mattes. I love the hypermatte! You got 2 shades I haven’t tried! I apply mine with the other larger triangular side of the bullet and haven’t had any problem. I find the soft matte not as drying as the MAC powder kiss. I want more shades!

Shades and foundations will forever remain a mystery to me...I am SO glad LN5 is not a total disaster. On your second bottle already, wow you went though it fast! I will likely wear it a bit more now before spring/summer hit because then it will be impossible to use it unless I mix it. Good to know about the powder kiss from MAC. The Prada soft matte is so impressive to me! It's been a while since a new formula like that has hit the market and I am here for it. I am tempted to get more too but I need to put the reigns on the lipstick shopping cause I went bonkers lately haha.

Thanks a lot for this review! This foundation is in my list and now it has been moved to the top. I need to swatch in person a few shades to find a match. Yeah, the metallic eyeshadow looks great on you!

If you have the chance to try to shade match in store, do it. And if you can get a sample to test out first...even better. I do really like it though! I find the metallic eyeshadow a beautiful tone of copper gold...and the sheen is just right, not too much but also not too little. Did you keep your quads in the end?

I enjoy your channel! You are a great reviewer. I was curious about the foundation. I bought the eyeshadow in the yellow/black combo. It is nice but the new Cle De Peau quad formula is my favorite. I love the soft matte lipstick. I have two nude shades. I will pick up the Sienne. It looks beautiful on you. I haven't tried the soft matte lipstick as a blush as Prada initially advertised you can do. Thanks again for your wonderful review and comparison. It's very helpful for online ordering.

I am glad to hear the video was helpful! My favourite luxury eyeshadow formula are the baked quads from Guerlain..which they sadly seem to have stopped making. Pretty much any makeup product works for any purpose you want. Lisa Eldridge often uses her lipsticks as blush. I am a bit compulsive about where products go...especially the mouth and the rest of my face haha. Somehow I don't like the idea.

Hi my friend 🥰 I’m so interested in the palette, just waiting for a color story that speaks to me (yes to taupe). I still haven’t tried the Lancome palette but I swatched it in store. The blue in your palette is so pretty. 😍 Looks great on you. Both lip colors too, but especially Mahogany. I have quite a few Prada perfumes (currently wearing Prada La Femme EDP) and generally love the aesthetic of their beauty line. Thank you for reviewing the makeup. ❤

💚💚💚 I hope they bring out more colour stories this year. I do love the blue though...it is a cornflower blue and I love those. I want to try it all over the lid with a sprakle from Pat over it. Should be fun! I actually am not at all experienced with Prada, not even their perfumes. Will go smell them in store.

I find that MAC Powder Kiss are much more silicony and less hydrating than the Prada…I haven’t tried anything like Soft Matte before, it’s very blurring, but also hydrating and comfortable

Oh no, you are tempting me with that eyeshadow palette. When you said it is very similar to Lisa's cream-to-powder mattes... I love thoseeeeeee. But that price? I have to think about it. I bought the Hyper matte lipstick in the shade Argile (the most perfect light brown nude shade, I nearly shed a tear 🤣) and I really like it. I think I want to try the Soft matte formula as well...Your point about lipstick shades - not picking out the most unique but something that you will get wear out of is really the best philosophy. I have two Powder kiss colors from MAC and both of them broke at the base, maybe it has something to do with the formula, hopefully, this one doesn't do it 😁. I wanted that MAC holiday Nutcracker duo when it came out but the packaging made me not buy it, looking back I think it has its charms 😁. Sienne looks gorgeous on you! Especially contrasting with that blue lower lashline!

The palette is rather expensive so if you are solely after the formula, go swatch Lancome. Their mattes a re quite similar. I LOVE the soft matte lipstick that I got...actually the hyper matte too. Wore it today and it is amazing! Hahah old school limited edition MAC collections are so nostalgic.

@@mariam.a. I was looking at those Lancome palettes because of you but I am so tempted by those crazy accent colors in Prada. The profusion quad has that yellow and that gorgeous pewter shade😁😁...I am glad you are liking the lipsticks! I feel like the Prada lipsticks are really a standout - a great formula, nice packaging, great shades. True, I am still waiting for MAC to drop some awesome collection nowadays:/

​@@mariam.a. Yeah, I am not surprised, MAC has some great staples but for most of them, you can get more affordable alternatives or alternatively you can just buy something high-end for slightly more and get the luxury experience, packing, etc...

I find the new YSL ones more powdery. Other than that the effect on the lids is indeed similar. Lancome took me by surprise such a stunning formula!

Honestly my trusty, always has my back, is the good ol' Estee Lauder DW but if you want something more new then the Prada one is certainly very good.

I go about it the same way when estimating my shade match and just yesterday searched again, similar people matching this in mn40 or lw25 being too orange. i'm most likely a ln20, which they weirdly don't offer. Also the Prada promo swatches look insane.. ln15 seems a lot lighter than lw5

It is such a gamble. Best is if you know a youtuber who is your skin tone to check which shade they got and if it worked for them. The good thing is due to the sheerer coverage, mismatches are somewhat tolerated.

I would think for traveling is better to have a plastic case (at least I rather have it that way)
