Gk catching is less important compared to gk reach and gk reflexes. Training to get better gk reach and gk reflexes makes a difference. You don't need high catching because gk can just parry the ball but low reach means the coverage is small and low reflexes stats means reaction is slow. For example if you opponent shoots and gk blocks if ball lands on opponent against the gk can block it again if reflexes stats are high.
