Nobody really underestimated them everyone expected Guangzhou to go finals just not beat shanghai and Paris had been underestimated due to not switching genji sparkle when genji was still bad but now that genji is good everybody expected them to be good

Shanghai lost this because of hubris from the coaches. The Dragon's coaches tried to make it about themselves and their coaching strats instead of accepting what was happening on the field. The team was clearly better with Lip in than Diem but the coaches made an arrogant move and subbed out Lip even though he was fragging out and Diem wasn't.
