Trying to build your income and prepare for retirement? It’s important to choose stocks that are expected to hold up in inflationary environments. To combat the negative effect of inflation, it’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different asset classes, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, since this can help protect your portfolio against inflation. I have seen People making up to $500k in a month during high inflation.

Recognizing that you need professional assistance is a significant step in the right direction. For beginners, the most beneficial action to take in this field is to enlist the guidance of a financial advisor. This approach allows you to both earn money and gain valuable insights into the industry.

With Roth IRA, the money you are contributing has already been taxed. At any time for any reason, you can withdraw your contributions tax-free and penalty-free. Additionally, any earnings on investments can also be withdrawn tax-free and penalty-free, Not sure how much to contribute, I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $338k stock portfolio.

My expectation is for 2024 that markets starts to broaden out more,” what if the interest rates go up? i have a ton of questions....can I safely invest my $800k? I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement, but don't know where to start.

Initially, my retirement strategy involved retiring at 62, engaging in part-time work, and diligently saving money. Nevertheless, exorbitant prices across all commodities have significantly disrupted this plan. I am apprehensive whether individuals who navigated the 2008 financial crisis encountered less challenging circumstances than what I am currently facing. The volatility in the stock market is a cause for concern, especially as my income has declined. Consequently, I worry about not accumulating sufficient retirement savings, given my reduced capacity to contribute as substantially as I did before.

Everyone needs a different stream of income , unfortunately having a job doesn't mean security due to the high rate of tax , one needs to move ahead their expectation, I would recommend refraining from investing in stocks for now. Instead, it would be prudent to consider retaining a portion of your assets in gold. Alternatively, seeking advice from a financial advisor could provide valuable guidance in this matter.

Very true, you can be passively involved in the markets and still amass wealth-gains using an investment advisor. I first dabbled in stocks late 2019, just before the pandemic, and that same year gained over 150% with no prior investing experience, basically all I was doing was following directions of my advisor. We are working on a retirement ballpark of $3m and I’m certain my goal isn’t farfetched after subsequent investments and tremendous returns so far.

Planning retirement has never been this confusing! First SVB, then Signature bank and now First republic, these are all the signs of yet another 2008 market crash and recession 2.0, so my question is do I still save in the United States dollar, or could this be a good time to buy stocks? So I’m left wondering what 2023 has in store for us investors, I’ve been sitting on over $745K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here,

I followed FIRE. Retired at age 48. My suggestions - have own furnished house, car etc before it. Plan finances & future well depending on your personality & vision- take good insurances, save prudently in Banks & real estate. Lead a disciplined life style, be teetotaller, develop healthy emotional relationships and networks. Be a busy bee in keeping your mind young & conscious by making use of SWAYAM portal with growth mindset. Serve the society. Enjoy happy life with goal of well being❤❤

Sharan don't have this kind of lunatic interviews just you to earn money. The basic is any person working with good salary in abroad they earn quick. The guy you have interviewing may be lived in the cheapest city of Dubai and saved a lot of money. Eg. You can easily earn 1 crore within 5 years having a mixer life in Dubai if tiu have a good salary. Today 1 cr fd will fetch 60 to 70 k per month. He earned hard by compromising so many things and this guy what going to do my retiring early. He goes for cycling bullshit. Still he is afraid of money , ask him to go to a village next to kanchipuram, he will get 5 bhk at 20,000 and 20000 will be other expense. What you do is for your own benefit. Bulkshit

Invest early, invest often, stay invested. Buy a good cross section of an economy and you should do well over the long term. The market will be high in 10 to 20 years, and significantly higher in 30. It's almost impossible for a company with no debt to go bankrupt. Canada is about 3% of the global marketplace, U.S. is about 50%, remainder on the globe is 47%. Pay yourself first. It's time in the market, not timing the market. i stay untop of the market with my FA Emily Lois Parker. Bulls and bears make money, but pigs get slaughtered. - some wise words -

Retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My parents both spent same number of years in the civil service, but my mom was investing through a wealth manager, and my dad through the 401k.

Retirement doesn't mean doing nothing and only travelling around the world. After retiring early main problem lies and in managing money and not over spending. We shouldnt chase a retirement age instead try to find some part time hobbies and try persuing a new career where money isnt the ultimate goal. Like some part time consultancy of any skill you have inherited.

In my knowledge what I am saying is, We few of us live in urban cities trying to show that we achieved something financially/the F.I.R.E, Just go back and see what we are living for, Just to satisfy our basic needs FOOD,CLOTHING & SHELTER, I will tell my favourite example film director VETRIMARAN, After krafting some greatest films in his career, He bought few acres of land in the outskirts of chennai and entered in farming and agriculture activities, This ensures he lives a healthy lifestyle, He will eat from what he created, Probably on Ancient days this is how the man's life were, This money making thing is a whole rubbish Day-1 salary credited, Day-2 started spending and paying the debts and the cycle keeps on continues until our lifetime ends.

He said you do not have to be topper or something to achieve FIRE and 5 minutes down the line, he exposes himself by bragging his CA national ranking. I got nothing special out of this video. Even Sharan was very much laid back... Please come up with better content. This is typical topper who earned a lot and then decided to call it a FIRE. Also he is a banker. Ofcourse he knows money all his working lifetime. So we can not learn any mistakes from him....

The objective of the video is to share the story of Sandeep who has been able to achieve retirement at 37. He mentioned that he was not a topper at school. CA is done by people after college and not during school. Also, the learnings that I got personally from this video about early retirement is that you need to first have a target goal in mind, learn when to stay stop, be willing to switch cities to accelerate retirement, build expertise in a particular field to be the top1 % at it and leverage foreign income to accelerate your networth, also called geographical arbitrage.

Due think schools, colleges, and Hospitals are there to provide free services to the public? Bloody everything in this human created world works for money/ high profits only. Fact of the matter is that there are only 1% who really believe in providing free service to others, like their are few doctors, teachers who works in remote part of Indian with very limited income. The rest of 99% heard are behind profits or higher income. Due to human greed lots of issues in each industry like specifically in health and education. Due to greed of more profit the COVID 19 virus was created in lab and the pharmaceutical company made a huge profit out of vaccines.

High prices for everything have severely affected my plan. I'm concerned if people who went through the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am having now. The stock market is worrying me as my income has decreased, and I fear I won't have enough savings for retirement since I can't contribute as much as before.
@SandraDave.

It's recommended to save at least 20% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 20% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of investing in the stock market and potentially grow your retirement savings over time.
