Or any non-Chinese based spy firm? After all China has clearly shown they can not be trusted with technology. We have seen videos of Chinese people talking to kids via video cameras that Americans have installed in their house to watch their kids. The Chinese should have no ability to see in, yet they do. Every company in China is a part of the Government. They are whats called Fascist. Ironically, they have the fascist economic system support their Communist elite. Ironic as under communism no one is supposed to be elite or be Bourgeoisie , but they obviously are.

@pangui9234
@pangui9234 2 ай бұрын
@@BicycleFunk The issue of the intelligence of American politicians is related to their political system. In the American political system, elections have become the sole standard for measuring a politician's success. This leads politicians to focus more on winning elections rather than on morality and rationality. The behavior and statements of American politicians often appear absurd and crude. For example, some American politicians have suppressed Chinese goods under the pretext of "national security," citing bizarre reasons. Some have even compared Chinese-made cranes to "Trojan horses," claiming they could steal American data.

@@BicycleFunkBecause these reasons are stupid and unreasonable, as a Chinese, I think some of the American politicians seem to have some IQ problems. They didn't even investigate that the so-called military base had been closed long ago and has become a historical site. This one actually is not that bad if you've watched the whole video. Sure, the China bashing is represented. But they also gave DJI rebuttal space and didn't cut out ex-DJI partner Colin Guinn's positive comments about DJI even though he could have slagged them off and/or FT could have cut out any positive remarks.

These journalists didn't even spend the time trying to understand the situation. For instance, the Army Official School shown on 14:12 is a cultural heritage facility for the legendary Huangpu Armny Official School, which provided many army officials to the army under the governance of the Nationalist Party (aka: Kuomintang) which has fled to Taiwan after the Chinese civil war. This school is no longer in use. Anyone who understands the difference between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese characters can see this. Also, temporary (from half a day to a week) military training is commonly adopted by schools and organisations in China as this training is viewed beneficial to improve students and employees' strength, perseverance and team playing sprit. It is sad that the misunderstanding between two cultures have been manipulated by some ppl to promote their own political agendas.

I usually don't comment on hit pieces; however, this film reached a new low. The so-called "military camp" mentioned at 14:07 is actually a famous tourist site in China. It is somewhat similar to Independence Hall in Philadelphia. This military academy was founded by the KMT, the ruling party in China before 1949. After the KMT was defeated by the CCP and fled to Taiwan, the "military camp" became a public tourist site. My Taiwanese friends laughed on this video for days.

14:07 That is the Whampoa Military Academy 黃埔軍校/黄埔军校, also known as the Republic of China Military Academy 中華民國陸軍軍官學校. The academy at that location closed in 1928, and the school was moved to Nanking (Nanjing), the capital of the Republic of China. That place is a museum now. It is absolutely strange that they wore military fatigues there because no one would do that. In short, using that pic as any sort of evidence is super dumb and super weird.

Frankly this is a bit embarrassing. Got out competed, both in the tech and the price, then had to out right ban them. If it is a security risk then it wouldnt be a tariff it should be a ban. Yet banning them from being sold in the us doesnt mean it can't be used or people can just buy it from elsewhere. This is not solving the security issue

那个陆军军官学校,叫做“黄埔军校”,是上世纪国民党(即国民党统治的中华民国,也就是台湾政府)在广东建立的军校。和现在毛泽东建立的中华人民共和国没有任何关系,本质上是一个景区。 The Army Military Academy, called the "Whampoa Military Academy", was a military academy established by the Kuomintang (i.e., the Republic of China ruled by the Kuomintang, that is, the Taiwan government) in Guangdong in the last century. It has nothing to do with the People's Republic of China established by Mao Zedong now, and is essentially a scenic spot.

It's incredibly humorous and a clear indication of the arrogance and ignorance displayed by Western media. The military site featured in the video is actually a Chinese military academy from the World War II era, a century ago. It has been abandoned for decades and is now a popular tourist attraction, visited by many Chinese and foreigners alike to gain a sense of China's history during World War II. Additionally, the accurate meaning of the banner in the photograph is 'DJI's sales department conducting outdoor team-building activities to enhance sales skills.' Western media relied on inaccurate machine translation of the image and used such absurd evidence to reach their conclusions, which speaks volumes of their arrogance and ignorance.

Skydio has world leading obstacle avoidance, which they can still use to compete with DJI - yet they choose to back out of the consumer market while lobbying. As a DJI fan, I would have 100% bought a foldable Sykdio 3 with just 30 minutes of battery life and 5km range (Skydio 2 was $999 USD, around 20 minutes battery life, 2km range, not foldable) - not even asking for DJI's level of 45 minutes of battery life and 20km of range.

As a Chinese American, I was astonished that the photo was used as "evidence" of DJI's link to PLA. The place is a museum of China's revolution, founded in 1925 by KMT, and trained a lot of national heroes in the Sino-Japanese war and the later civil war. It was moved to Taiwan after KMT lost the civil war and stopped operations in the mainland. Nowadays nobody gets serious military training at that place!
