Totally true. Especially on set point. When I saw that, I remembered a game a couple years ago when, in the middle of the play a teammate tried to do a pancake to receive the ball, but it clearly touched the floor, so I grabbed it like the play was over. My teammates were super mad at me, saying it only stops when the ref says (and it was on like point 15).

@@zachattack_vball I remember once when was playing rugby, the game was over, and the ref messed up the score and decided that we had won. I knew that the score was tied so I told my coach who helped the ref sort things out. My team got mad at me later cause we ended up losing that game(which was a super important playoff game), but I told them I'd much rather lose fairly than win as a cheater.

I am so impressed by the setter. His spatial awareness is incredible. He adjusts immediately on over passes and transitions to block with no wasted time it’s amazing. Great at digs as well!

to keep everyone together as a team and increase morale. it can be easy to get down on yourself or even other teammates when someone makes a mistake, but sticking together, grouping up, celebrating together it helps everyone stick together as a team

I've only watched 4 minutes of the video, and it seems like the blockers aren't jumping for coach Donny, maybe they know your prowess at tooling the block and are just counting on receives??

there’s a number of reasons that could explain why. they were setting everyone else a lot more than donny in this match so they were more focused on blocking them and adjust a little closer to other attackers than donny to “cheat” and make it easier to block. as an outside hitter you are often the go-to person for sets, so if there is a bad pass, the outside hitter often gets set. meaning you’re more likely to get set off of the net. often times if someone is set off the net, blockers will not jump, unless the attacker is like 6’8 and can slam balls from off the net

Search for a chair or something that is high enough to jump on, maybe even a wall/stone and jump on it, repeat it 30 times, have a break and go again. (Do that 3 x 30 and 2-3 times a day) Just look for the right technique and you will slowly improve over time. Also what you can do is start to do the skipping rope. It really helps alot.
