I know most of you understand this, but the purpose of this regulation is not to stop money laundering. It is instead that non-corporate business is the last free frontier that is not controlled by a quasi government agency. In order to get into your information they needed to step around the more confidential rules the IRS has for the purpose of being able to control who will be able to do business in the United States. The stock market is controlled, the monetary system is controlled and real estate is controlled. Hopefully, we will see a swing back to the freedom we want in this country, which is our desire to move to an extremely limited government. FREEDOM!

I totally agree. The overstepping is evil and unlawful. I may not watch this closely as there are other issues to deal with and not wanting to get caught with a fine. I mean having to pay extremely close attention to the goings on of a court case you are not involved with to make sure that you timely file in the event the injuction is subsequently lifted, is a lot more work than the 10 minutes it took me to fill out the online form at the last minute, so I don't have to worry about it going forward. If it is held unconstitutional great. If it is not, then I already submitted information which the IRS already has to a different government agency. I am not too concerned. Probably because the entity is defunct and has been for a while, but I have an outstanding tax bill because I forgot about a company I never got to use because the money I was owed which was going to fund it never got paid and I got stuck with a penalty because not having used it, I did not think about it until April 15th the first year after I set it up and that was a month too late filing its information return.

DO NOT FILE. The United State Supreme Court has ruled in multiple cases that unless congress directly passes a law it is not law and cannot be created by the executive branch. What you need to understand is that by fling this you effectively are saying that your business is not your right but instead it requires approval by a non legislative branch. For the love of God do not file this.

$591 dollars a day for not filing would cripple small businesses across America. Also I didn’t even know about FinCen until a family friend who works for the Government mentioned this. It was nowhere on my state’s LLC website that I could clearly see. So halting this is great. It’s a chaotic way to punish small businesses and it screams overreach. $591 DOLLARS a DAY for every day you went past filing deadlines?? All beneficial owners can face prison?? The IRS isn’t that strict!!! It’s unfair. I hope the injunction lasts for quite sometime or the rules about reporting are changed completely.

I signed my email up on the fincen website to become updated with current news about the reporting and I’m still not getting any emails from their website regarding these legal updates so I think this is done on purpose so they can slap small business these overreaching penalty fees for not filing. My LLC is an Inactive Entity Exemption #23. Let's assume the final ruling is in favor of finCEN and entities are required to file the BOI report. Since I'm exempt, I don't have to file. My concern is, how does finCEN know I'm exempt and that they should not fine me? I'm worried that out of the blue, I'll be fined and have a nightmare on my hands. Can you answer this question?
