Nice review. I liked that you checked the metal thickness. Interesting assembly technique too. I’ve seen a lot of guys drop them in from the top with an assistant. These are reportedly coming up on sale for $199 again on a parking lot sale. Thanks for enduring the heat for this assembly and thanks for sharing!

I have the white one and the white Yukon nine drawer workbench. They look beautiful in my kitchen and my computer repair room. The white works very well for gourmet, cooking, utensils, and machinery, especially if you’re a DIY Baker or barbecue like I am

Similarly built to my Sunex slider top 3 drawer cart... 14 gauge legs and 16 gauge drawers.. Castors are similar too I've never had a problem rolling...👍 They're very solid once they're full of tools

Great review!! For Black Friday 2023, Harbor Freight has these on sale for $189!! Seems like a steal at that price.

Just bought a series 3. I had to call a friend to help me lower the box onto the cart. Didn’t even think about laying it down and sliding the box in and bolting it in.

If you're unlikely to disassemble in the future, put red loctite on the fasteners. I have several HF carts that in time have had the fasteners loosen after a lot of use.

Great review and assembly video especially since this is the cart I’m looking at purchasing! I think you are the only other person other than me that has and still uses that Ridgid 12v palm impact driver. It’s one of my favorite tools and I wish Milwaukee would come out with an M12 Fuel palm impact driver as well! Come on Milwaukee we know you read these comments…lol! Great review again my friend!

@@Pansitooooo I think I ordered mine from Rockler when they were all on sale. I upgraded to 4 swivels, same diameter as stock. Bases were different size, will have to re-drill 2 holes each eventually, but for now it doesn't need to move anywhere so it's on the 'when I get to it list'.

Great tip on the mats ! Took advantage of the HF one day Christmas sale and bought one for 189 bucks, they didn't have one in the store but ordered me one and it should be here Christmas week. Picked up the folding tray/shelf for it too. $227 OTD for everything. Murdered out Slate Gray ! Pretty hard to beat the set.

Being made in China or Taiwan, wouldn't the metal thickness be metric, not speed in gauge? I have the 4 drawer version, it is very well made.

I got mine a few months ago at parking lot sale $200, worth every penny, much better build quality etc. than the usual suspects. Personally i do NOT like/use the drawer locks with respect to the individual drawers, i disabled them just put a screw in the gap, fully reversable. Also... I am adding another set of swivel wheels for ease movement , exact same as the other pair so ill hae 4 locking swivels. of course i have other ideas planned... SFMF

I would ditch the casters for roller blade style versions. They glide so much better than any other casters available and replace the cheesy lock cylinder while adding a thicker fabricated pawl latch instead of the super soft one that comes with the cart.

Took me way too long to realize the lid has to be open to unlock the drawers lol. I’ve never had one before so idk if that’s standard or not wasn’t mentioned in the instructions. Made me feel dumb haha

Would using the box only without the legs part be viable or does it mess with the rigidity of the box not having those legs bolted to, and supporting the sides?
@masoncampos7043
@masoncampos7043 5 ай бұрын
The top of the box is wider than the drawers, so it wouldn't really work without the legs. They do also clamp everything together to make it very ridgit.

The Snap-on Blue-Point version is $1535! Also made in China with same drawer locking mechanism. Snap-on has lost their mind. But at home or for an extra work cart, I would prefer the Milwaukee cart. It don’t seem to be coming down in price, but I like it because you don’t have to fool with many drawers and keep most used tools right on top. Easier to move outside the tool shed. Not everybody has a full blown garage at home. The Mac Tools Composite Utility Cart is another good option, but currently not available. Little better than the Rubbermaid type carts. US General is ok and available. But load that thing down with tools it’s heavy. Depends on if you want to move your roll cart outside or not. Now if Snap-on was smart, they could lower their cart down to $500 and put Harbor Freight out of the tool cart business, or force them to upgrade their cart 😳

I'm surprised Snap-on can stay in business with their crazy pricing. Many good alternatives to everything they sell, while saving 75 or 80% over Snap-on prices.
@jacksautorepair
@jacksautorepair 7 ай бұрын
@@jeffro221 The problem is Snap-on sells everything. Like a long 1/4 flexhead ratchet with a 3/8 anvil or an extra long locking flexhead. Harbor Freight ain’t got nothing but basic tools and 25 year outdated harmonic balancer pullers. By the time the retail stores get the tools, it’s some outdated bullshit. I don’t need a harmonic balancer puller kit for a 30 year old car. Let’s get real here. The last car I looked at before vacation was a 2019 Cherokee not some old classic junk. But the reason retail stores don’t sell tools like Snap-on is because their customers don’t need it. Same with Lowe’s or Home Depot. Last time I checked, our Lowe’s didn’t even carry DeWalt 60v. Home Depot does but now its been around for a while. The typical person don’t need any Snap-on. They better off buying builder or wood working tools. Snap-on sells to automotive truck and aviation and they work on mostly brand new technology. For someone to come on KZbin and claim you can just buy harbor freight tools, he has no idea what he’s talking about. Even a lube tech would be handicap using just harbor freight tools. Is the job worth buying Snap-on and all this expensive tools? At this point in time, I wouldn’t recommend it. You would be better off with a regular job. All stores sell the same tools. The impact swivel sockets and chrome at Oreillys are the exact same as Harbor Freight Pittsburgh. Unlike Snap-on, they all sell the same thing - cheap import basic tools. They making 70% or more off the junk.
