is it just me, or are yall wondering why the answers for the max volume of the cylinder is in dollars ($)?

Hi Anil, how about if you have a cylinder with a set volume (e.g. 10m cubed) - does this have a maximum surface area? Or is there no maximum surface area, as you can stretch or squish the cylinder using different values for r and h? Thank you.

Not an experienced mathematician but I think the limit would be infinite, however you could logically find the minimum surface area for a given volume and it would sort of be the inverse of this question. Little late but I hope this helped lol

i don't even have to pull out my calculator to know that's wrong....max volume, per unit of surface, in a right cylinder ( i am going to just guess here ) would be closer to h= 3r.

You cant use a calculator you find what h is in relation to the volume formula, and you plug it in to the surface area eqn. After calculation it goves h=2r…

@@NBS-BALKAN i use 3.1416 for Pie, if i don't have a calculator with a Pi key.
