Do note that while windows mouse accel is really bad for reasons I won't elaborate on, custom drivers can offer customizable mouse accel curves that offer a perfectly workable foundation for your muscle memory to build on. I've used one for years since I have relatively limited mouse space but prefer lower sensitivities, so that way I can manage the high and the low without just getting a new desk, pad, and muscle memory for the new boundaries. It genuinely improved my quality of life tons.

I used 0.44/0.44 (400dpi) a long time, recently changed to 0.64/0.61 and feels a lot better. Before I found myself on the edge of mousepad a lot of times and slaming mouse into keyboard when swiping (mousepad is 48cm x 41cm), so whenever I was engaging multiple players liftoffs were unavoidable so I died a lot that way. I don't have that good sense in Tarkov to always know where people could be, which is another problem, but this way I react a lot better personally. 0.64/0.61 I picked up from Bakeezy I think, don't know his dpi but I tried it and it worked.

GREAT ADVICE. I literally adjusted my settings to take me down from my eDPI of 800 to 320 and my scores are instantly improving in AIM labs. I tried the streamer eDPI's but they felt way too low but as you saw with mine I was used to being way to high.

Judging by this video and what my mouse was set to, I basically imported my super high sens settings from photoshopping and games such as Warzone. I went into a factory raid with the new settings, I'm still rusty but man, I can flick to head,eyes almost instantly. The only downside is that my desk is rather small and so is my mousepad, which made a 180 flick very very hard. I'd hardly ever be able to do it unless my mouse was all the way at the left and I moved it all the way to the right. So I'm now basically using Pest's settings but even a little more sensitive. I've gotten used to the high sens I had and playing with only 200 eDPI is too big of a difference. My mouse used to be set to 900DPI and tarkov to 0.7. Basically running at 630 eDPI. I was great with sniping but CQB was just flicking to the center mass and spray and pray. The difference is amazing. It turned into a whole different game. Curious to see how long it takes my autistic ass to adjust.

my DPI has been at 1200 and my in game was set at 1.03 lol, i changed my dpi to 400 and clicking around the game menu feels very very weird, is a high dpi really that bad to use? i only looked into all of this because i felt like i wanted to match my ads sensitivity to my normal one as sometimes when im aiming i feel resistance... i feel like it throws me off on aiming quick and accurate because it moves too slow. idk why all of the pros or streamers use low dpi but maybe they played pc so long that its what they all started with.. the way i hold my mouse makes it awkward to make big adjustments using the whole mouse pad, maybe i need to either get used to that and a lower dpi to be better or high dpi just works for me.

@@wibble2482 I think its just being used to something, if you are used to higher then stay with it. I lowered my sensitivity in game a little bit for ADS but thats all.
@thisisntmadeinchina2 жыл бұрын
Higher dpi is better in some areas, you can make smaller mouse angle adjustments, particularly useful at long range, the mouse movement doesn't feel robotic and choppy and the input lag is considerably lower compared to let's say 450dpi. 3200 dpi I would say is the highest dpi you can reasonably control in 2d environments (in game menus, such as the inventory) with the 2d cursor, whilst being able to have super fluid and responsive movement in game. In my testing, using 3200 dpi made my aim too fluid if that makes any sense, my mouse tracking the tiniest amount of movements, making my aim pretty shaky, this is my fault in part because I'm used to consuming a lot of caffeine and thus have shakier hands. Personally I recommend picking a dpi you feel really comfortable using in Windows, and finding a sensitivity in game that lets you turn 180 degrees with a quick comfortable swipe of the mouse, and 360 degrees by picking the mouse up and landing it a comfortable and memorable distance to the left and then swiping to the right from there until you spin 360 degrees.
@D0G5Coolpat112 жыл бұрын
high dpi low sens is best.
@amiinside912 жыл бұрын
Technically, the higher the dpi the lower the latency. It’s pretty widely agreed upon that 1600dpi is the sweet spot bc it’s still fairly easy to control the cursor. I use 800 just because i prefer the cursor speed and some games won’t let the sensitivity slider go down far enough for a comfortable sens. High>Low dpi.

What would you recommend for aiming sensitivity? Roughly the same as regular looking around (game sens) or slower. My problem is stairways and such but I've lowered my sensitivity some and it is more work but I'm much more accurate. Just started on mouse and keyboard a little over a year ago and EFT was my first game. I learned how to k&m on tarkov. Then I hated it and moved to controller on tarkov hahaha. Any tips would be appreciated .
@arteyy33882 жыл бұрын
some people prefer it slower than the look sens, though I like it to be at the same value, because it doesn't force you to get used to two different values of aim or look.

Nope, it has not... it is all your visual Perception. Higher FOV causes some sort of Effect, kinda similar to the Fish Eye Effect. It stretches what is close to you while center Objects seem to be further away, while also expanding the overall View, which only means that it appears as if you are walking faster but it is not the case. The best example is Racing Games with Bumper-Cam/Perspective vs Rear-Cam. The latter feels slower, but it is not. EDIT: "All a Matter of the Perspective".

Hello. I'm new to shooter games. I started this game and I struggled to find the correct sensitivity. What I have a problem with is what I would call "fine-tuning". I mean I can accurately aim at the enemy body, but when I need to make small adjustments, like for example aim from the body to the head it feels very unresponsive, and I always aim too much to the side. Long story short I have problems with small aim adjustments. Any suggestions anyone?
