I've been near the edge of pulling my hair out of how the hell you get the values for the equation.so if they give you a pH the value is substituted for the exponent that's with given [H+] value. then you plug it in.....alright that's It. I'm coming to you more now.

the video was great in identifying how to calculate the Ka ... however the stoichiometric is not complete. a compound cannot "by itself dissociate" ... therefore the real equation should be [ HClO + H2O H3O+ + ClO- ] ... even tho H2O will be ignored and not be calculated into the equation as its value would be 1 (because H2O can be a base as well as an acid) this vid still helped me tho ... #respect

I have one question pls : when we pour lets say 1ml of HCLO into lets say 3 L of water , then shouldn't the initial concentration of HCLO changed from 0.1 to 0.33×10^-4 ? , that is how concentration still stay the same with two different volumes ?.
