I don't understand why he fell for it, though. The clue that he found clearly stated that there were five apples, and he had already found five, so why keep looking? What did he think he would find, if not the green egg? I know that his disproportionate ego played against him a lot on Taskmaster, but this just seems plain... stupid? 😅

I've learned that if ever on Taskmaster: 1. BE OBSERVANT! Always ask Alex to turn around in full circle, just to assess if he has any clues prior to starting the task. 2. BE CAREFUL IN YOUR MOVEMENTS AT ALL TIMES, especially when the task states a clause referring to NOT doing something, hence consequences. 3. ALWAYS ASSESS ALL POSSIBLE ROUTES TO PERFORMING THE TASK BEFORE beginning. 4. Think out of the human reflex box. 5. READ TASK CAREFULLY AND FULLY SEVERAL TIMES before beginning or inquiring anything. 6. If something seems out of place, it probably is. Do NOT disregard that gut feeling. 7. LOOK UP, OVER, IN, AROUND, AND UNDER EVERYTHING. 8. Do NOT read into the task; twist words when possible, to be following the rules, but creative about it and not necessarily what was intended, but still allowable.

I can't believe he used statistics to find the chances of an apple being underneath a bowl.
@jackblack2264 Жыл бұрын
His math was wrong. He was calculating the odds of flipping 3 bowls and not hitting the green egg for the situation where zero bowls have been flipped. However, he had already flipped 2 bowls at that point. If he wanted to know the chance of not hitting the egg with his next bowl, it would have been 6/7 or roughly 85% chance. Also, he did all that multiplication (8*7*6)/(9*8*7) when he could have cancelled and instantly gotten 6/9 = 2/3... roughly 66%.

It does not work like that, as the task is the same. You have would found the green egg, even you were unaware of the task. This has happened other times. For instance, the time of opening the jar without reading the task or do not eat the chocolate.
@VideoGuy2322 жыл бұрын
Aside from the fact that that’s not how tasks work (they’re mandated to read the task before beginning each time with few exceptions), that doesn’t change the fact that if they started flipping at random, they would still most likely discover the green egg which would DQ them. Because the task, whether read or not, is to avoid the green egg. Even if they could avoid both of those issues, they have no way of knowing beforehand whether the task entails them flipping the bowls or not. So no, not even close
