Hi Alan. I'm just beginning with the guitar and I am using this song as a goal to work toward. It's one of my all time favorites. Quick question: When you're strumming, it looks like you're hitting only D through high E on the down strokes. In simpler terms, the four strings closest to the bottom of the guitar. Am I seeing this wrong? Please let me know, as I hope to one day sound as good as you. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge; your presentation truly is outstanding and easy to understand.

Dear Mr. Robinson, I really thank you very much for this tutorial video. Rem are my favourite band, even if they aren't yet together, and this particular song was the first song I liked when I discovered them with the LP automatic for the people. Obviously the devono one was Everybody hurts. I already had Green at that time, but I also listened to Orange crush and Stand. I had the vinile AFTP and I consumed it. I had the music box and I consumed it. After that i consumed 2 or it could be 3 or 4 cds... Always automatic 4 the people. That i bought the other discs of rem. I love them. Do you think it's possible that them make another concert live all together before I die ? I love Michael's voice and Peter's guitar.... Thank you once more. I'm a beginner with the guitar ? Were do you come from ? I'm Italian of Sicily. Nice to meet you. Good bye. Marcello

Hi and thanks. I love REM too. I started with the Green album then played Out of Time everyday for over six months when it came out. Although they are no longer producing music, REM have left a huge legacy. Best wishes and Happy New Year from Wales :)
