Thank you so much! I hope, as more games get rated and added to the app, your game recommendations will also improve with time.

@@theperfectboardgame It was! I have some board games I saw on some of your short videos and other people's recommended list but I wasn't too sure if I'm really going to enjoy it but the quiz results cemented my list! Thank you!

One thing that i think could be awesome to add is a player count filter. I love games that have more interaction. Personally, i look for games that play best with 3 players so that rules a lot of social deduction games out.
@theperfectboardgame6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your suggestion. I will see what I can do. By the way, I recently discovered a +three-player social deduction game called Vita Mors.

10:07 May I suggest that "complexity" and "depth" are two (2) different things?! It appears that you have this right! Complexity is about the rules; whereas Depth is how deep the game is strategically.

Agreed.

Got me right on a few metrics, but missed me big time in complexity. Said I was a gamer on the lightest end. I don’t think TI4, Firefly the Game, and Tragedy Looper are simple games. Not High Frontier levels of complexity, but still decently complex.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m guessing a question worded poorly or the answers were programmed incorrectly. I’ll take a closer look. Really appreciate you sharing this with me.

7:41 But I would go even deeper - and ask what type of interaction one prefers in their games - positive interaction (you play an action and an(other) player(s) benefit, by also getting a resource) or negative interaction (take-that). Because some people really DON'T like negative interaction, but still like interaction in their games - and want to figure out which games are best for them... and others WANT the negative interaction and want to know which games allow them to mess with their friends!

Really enjoy hearing your thoughts on all of this. Thank you for your comments. I am reading your comments in the spirit of “Here are some directions you could take it as this thing grows.” I hope you know that I am in agreement with you, but building the database to reflect the richness that you are suggesting is just going to take more time.

Would be cool to disregard one stat entirely

Yeah, I can’t figure out how to do that intuitively. But you can slide the stat that doesn’t matter in order to get different results.
