I would like see you two having a coffee and talking YT... obviously a little about your history together and then how you both progressed.. btw.. Thanks for the clear audio Brian (without any tic tic) My big problem about starting a channel has been upload speeds.. 4G is throttled.. Up and Down in the UK on PAYG.. (also poor signal) looks like I'll have to buy a 5G phone and a SIM only contract... also WIFI at public establishments including offices have poor upload speeds. A possible video could be about what is realistically the minimum upload speed.. not exactly a topic either of you might cover though 😻

​@mySeaPrince_ 🙂the first 6 months of my channel my uploading from home took 6 hours for a one hour video. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I went and checked speeds at public wifi haunts and the fasted upload speed was the local library.📚 Libraries, unlike coffee shops, have a genuine need for speed because of the uploading that they do. I could upload a 60 min video in about 15 to 20 min.🕜 Give it a try!

@@JulieTorrens Hi Julie. Thank you for your comment. Just had a look at your channel.. as I couldn't see which country on your about page.. I started watching your latest video... watched first 10 mins... (I need to do things as weather going to be bad) Have you thought of adding ASMR as a tag and in description.. and visual equivalent. I tried the libraries in this and a neighbouring county, they don't allow uploading to social media.. was their response .. upload is very slow even for an email as it goes from the library to the council building before getting onto the web. I'm in the land of bureaucracy and make it as complicated as possible (1984).. no wonder the government is short of money... Just realised... I think your channel banner said watercolors... maybe you need to change it and any other details... Affiliate etc is my other thought.. Kindest regards from the UK. Bella 🐈 Mark

I’m on the right track I believe. I’m not a professional but am passionate about painting with acrylics, specifically animals. I learn as I go and am super transparent about it in my voice overs. Been on KZbin for 4 years, but it took me 2 years before finding my niche. Still experimenting with different styles of editing or short and long format. Also trying to find out what people are actually searching for in my niche. TubeBuddy is a great help with that. Anyway…all things are possible, as long as you’re willing to put in time and effort.

So I made a channel I gained 30 thousand followers in like 3 years I then fell into a deep depression and abandoned my channel for years! I then listen to the same exact advice to delete all of my videos and let them sit. I did this and saw no results spiraling me into a deeper depression. I recently got out of that depression, barely, and because the niche I chose before had cornered me in a place where I couldn't even express myself because it would be so random of the style of video that I decided to create .. I then created 12 channels each part of my personality is I've been the most mentally draining my life and I'm autistic/schizophrenic so that helps too right ... ima keep going cause my hearts telling me too ! sending you peace and power, my friend. You probably know, perhaps anyway that I’ve been in a similar situation. I let my channel go for 3 1/2 years after a challenging divorce. However, I’m moving forward now. One of the things I found is, it’s really helpful for me to focus on where my channel is at right now rather than where it was years ago.

I can only speak for myself. Only thing that matters is quality interesting content. I will watch videos from new channels. But once I decide its not for me. No title or thumbnail will ever get me to go back. Good to see Logan doing good. When I an looking for channel ideas, I type in keywords and if I don't find a few channels with 100k plus subscribers I move on to the next idea.

I recently started a new channel, and it seems that it is different to grow a channel now compared to 5 years ago when I was able to gain 10k subscribers in 6 months. My new channel has only 16 subscribers, and youtube doesn't seem to be recommending it.
