It has come a long way since I was a member from 1978-1981. Married my first wife Sheena in the sanctuary in 1981. Nice to see it continuing on its worldwide mission and influence. Touched my heart to see the Universal Hall still in use, I was the first of many audio engineers who built and worked in the recording studio/audio department along side such people like Chris Cathles, Mariana Lines, Wee William, Alan Kramer and others. So neat to see the transformation of Pine Ridge to the ecological community today. Michael - Yes, I too heated by coal in those cold winter days. :) Keep up the great work, The Planet needs you more now than ever! thanks for sharing, some of those early photos, I remember all too well.

My mother-in love got and shared her copy of the Findhorn Garden in the mid 70s and I was so intrigued and delighted! Gardening with nature, idea! Living with guidance, yes!! In the early 90s, I lived and worked at a "sister" community here in the states, Breitenbush Hot Springs, which shares many of the ideals and also offers thousands of people a glimpse of a different way of being in the world. Several of my friends from BB visited Findhorn, and it remains a beacon. Thank you for sharing this glimpse into this special place - I love the then and now photos! 🔥

Thanks for the info about Breitenbush, I just looked up the site and gave a donation because most of it has burned down in the Oregon fires. Looks like a place I would like to visit.

I have been following the Findhorn Foundation since 1978 since I read the book “The Secret Life of Plants” where the last chapter of the book spoke of the beginning of Findhorn. But I'm Brazilian and I don't speak English enough to understand the lines. It would be great to have subtitles in Portuguese and other languages as that way we would inspire other places in the world. Gratitude I use a translation link for this message.

"death people"? Why the accusitory tone? How do you know for sure they had the means and ability to do it and were just negligent?

This group explores every brand of "spirituality" and "mysticisms" except the one true God. Lucifer loses in the end, choose Jesus.

@Miss Isle Isn't Scotland the birthplace of the Freemason? I don't know if you knew that in Freemasonry lodges their are symbols of all the worlds religions, save Christianity. I'd bet that place is crawling with top tier Masons. It's no longer a big secret that as a 33rd degree mason it is revealed to one that Lucifer, (light bearer, Morning star, Son of the morning, Liar, Deceiver, Tempter, Beelezebub, Appolyon, Belial, Moloch, Satan, the Devil, Angel of Light, Abadon, or whatever he's been called) is the architect of the universe.

Jesus lived a long life after escaping the people who persecuted, betrayed and crucified him. He died in Northern India. Get over it. Your little fairy tale and intolerance of others is exactly what Jesus abhorred.

Michael Mitton was born there, so he's Scottish. My understanding is that there are others, too. I'm not sure why you would think it was creepy. Any university is mostly full of people from other places . . .
