Informative video! Could you clarify how you managed your notice period in India . Say if it is 90 days and given the entire visa process has been completed within 1.5 months (presuming the Vignette sticker will only have 30 days time) , how do you manage to serve the entire notice period in India and also reached the UK before the Vignette expires? It would be best to communicate your notice period to the employer in UK and decide your new joining date. Also the vignette is valid for 90 days within which you have to travel to UK. While you apply for the visa you would have to enter the approximate date when you would come to the UK.. so the vignette validity would start from that particular date. Hope it helps!

If we are not opting to collect the passport via courier after biometric process is it we need to collect it on VFS office? I'm attending visa interview most probably next month but I'm not staying in address mentioned in passport recently we move.. awaiting for your response

Yes you can collect it at the visa office. You can mention to them that you will collect it at the office and it won’t be a problem.

No there is no visa interview. You only need to go and give biometrics while applying for visa.

Both tier 2 and skilled worker visa are the same. It’s not difficult to get ILR, it should be easy to get if you are on the skilled worker visa for 5 years.

@@LifeOfRahulUdhayakumar thanks Rahul. It really helps me. The reason I asked this is we are planning to relocate from USA to UK. One of my friend mentioned that IT companies in UK might get us a visa for 3 or 5 years but they might not sponsor for getting an ILR. Some companies might not be interested in helping you get an ILR. That is why wanted to check with if this or true or not? Because I believe without a company sponsorship you cannot apply for ILR.

Hi Vignesh, you need to have £1270 pounds in your account for the last one month while applying for skilled worker visa. However, if your employer can support your costs for the 1st month of your stay in UK, then you don’t need to show the bank balance statement. The employer will mention if they can support your costs or not in the certificate of sponsorship. In our case we dint have to show the bank balance statement, as our employer supported our costs. It’s the same process for dependent visa and the min balance to maintain for them is £285 pounds.
