My mom lived abroad for 35 years and returned to Thailand in 2009. Even though she is Thai returning was a bit of a culture shock for her. She is now living decently in Siracha on her SS. I hope to join her in Thailand soon.

Shop till ya drop kimosabe! Personally, i like shopping. It’s actually great exercise for body and mind. Plus, you never know what you may find. Get your butt up, go shopping and have some fun 🤩! May I suggest large slip resistant shower mats , my friend slipped in shower in Thailand and died ! The floors are deadly ! Wish you all success and happiness in her relocation ... Enjoy .

Chuck, tell your mother (or she can read for her self) that we are loving watching her transition to living in Thailand and figuring out for herself if it's right for her and "where" is right for her as well. I rarely comment but IF I offer a suggestion ... AND it's not appropriate for her (or your) situation, I hope you, Paige and your mom can have an awesome laugh at my suggestions ... I know everyone's situation is different and you are only showing us part of your life and I love that you are including us in those parts that you want to open up to us. I'm one of those people that LOVE Thailand and want to move back again (I lived there 3 years previously) and like your in-laws, my in-laws are awesome people are as well. They are from a part of the country you ARE familiar with. They are from Korat (specifically Non-Sung, 30 minutes? NE of Korat city). I really do hope I and my wife will be able to meet you and Paige some day. We are currently sitting here in California (maybe moving to the New England states in the not so far future) before we return to living in Thailand. Thank you so much for bringing us on your adventures. We live vicariously through you guys until we move to Thailand again.

My mother died a few months ago. I used to travel to Thailand with my Thai wife every year but was unable to do this over the last few years. Covid being one reason and my mothers health being the other. I did everything for her for a couple of years. My point is. It is good to see you caring for your mum and trying to do the best for her. Do what you can. Appreciate your mum while she is with you. As it can't be done over again.
