Yep I agree, every place that I’ve gone to hiked into or looked on my plethora of map programs have been catalog for Dredging. Some of them I’ve been able to hike into. Some of them I’ve wanted to kayak to, but I haven’t been able to for lack of vehicles. There are a lot more places to check out. I’m doing my best to get to the point of motoring in there with the big boat

I haven’t placed a magnet on them yet, it’s like they’re iron stone. I think that’s what they are. I find them all across the state wherever I’m hitting the gold good they’re there also. You’re also gonna obviously find black sand maybe some shotgun pellets, or lead of some sort Garnets everything heavy you’re gonna find but yeah when I come across those brown rocks, I’m pretty much on it. I hope you can get out as soon as possible. Hopefully the next time you can get out,, Canada won’t be sending down any of the smoke. I stayed inside this weekend.

No, I did not give up on the boat. I had a truck that went down on me in April and because of the way it’s been acting I’m not gonna drive it it’s going up for sale. Hey do you want to buy a Honda ridgeline? I’m actually buying a brand new 2023 Toyota Tacoma TDR off-road. Everybody wants to sell their piece of crap truck for a mint. I searched for close to two months for a 4 x 4, anything dating from 1980 to about 2010 couldn’t find anything that was decent lowest miles runs decent something that somebody hasn’t beat the fk out of.So I’m not gonna get that in probably till the middle of next month or the end. First line of business is taking the boat to a fabrication shop and getting that 4 inch area welded and not the braised and hopefully between now and that timeframe I can get everything else for the boat ready to go. If nothing else, I’ll have the motor ready to go along with the backwater long shaft, prop assembly and be able to motor up to places because kayaking is good for the upper body but it sucks I’ve been having items come in for the boat for the last two months. I just need to get a little motivation. I do want to have that on the river a couple times before ice up.

I’m almost ready I have one more 30 x 36“ piece of aluminum that needs to be bent to complete the Dredge Sluice assembly. I need to buy a 20 foot section may be a 22 foot section of x” inch suction hose. I need to modify my nozzle that I made a few years back and turn it into a Suction Nozzle. I have a 20 horse Honda motor and a backwater 77 inch with prop assembly. That will be a mud motor for the boat. As soon as I get the boat welded, it’s going to be painted with a slick surface epoxy, called gator glide already have it purchased already have my 14 horse Kohler commander engine mounted to a keen HP 600 pump. It’s gonna be the heart of the operation. I have a line on another bench for the boat that needs to be riveted in for structural strength and give a place for two people to sit. I haven’t given up on the boat. I’ve just had a major delay.
