Finding Antique Bottles Under an Old Foundation Turns One Man's Trash Into Another Man's Treasure!

The rain has made it a little hard to dig or walk the creeks lately, so I decided explore old buildings to see if any bottles could be found. After a little searching, I found a building with a craw space that was loaded with bottles.

When i was growing up, we'd stay at Sue Bell's during the summer. She'd drive around, stop at old house sites, then dig around in the trash pile. She'd find all kinds of "good" bottles. She didnt want any that took screw caps. Shed look for ones with no thread around tge top. These were cork bottles. She especially liked the colored ones: green, blue, brown, purple. Once we got back, she'd soak em in the sink to get the dirt out. Then she put her bottles in the windows for the sun to shine thru em. 😊

Pop's here. You need a plastic sled to put the bottles on and then pull a bunch out with out breaking them.

those probably will sell for more than the old bottles - I've sold a few in the 30-50 dollar range - but then again - I price things very high and wait for a buyer - you didn't see any old..like..chip bags or other food debris under there did you?
