So just so you know if you turn your swimming pool into a pond you have to do something about coating the walls and bottom. The walls and bottom are porous and can hold traces of chlorine, that can leach out of the concrete into your pond water.

chlorine cannot live that long and also he can reduce it to 0ppm before draining i would worry if it was a plaster pool how it could affect calcium levels.
