I grew up with Cindy Crawford and she is still the ultimate super model. Her business acumen is good, she knows what she wants and people like this are what women need as role models not Love Island wannabes or privileged Kendall Jenner of this world.

It’s quite a stretch to imply there was much genius required in managing Crawford’s career. She was the most sought after model on the planet. A 15 yr old with a modicum of smarts could manage that.

You're talking about what it took for her to get her break and initial run of success. They're talking about how she parlayed that into a 30 year career, and not just any 30 year career. The road is littered with former 15 year old models, actors, musicians, and athletes that the world turned into stars, who had no clue what to do with their careers or lives. Just because someone appreciates accomplishment doesn't mean they're "implying genius."
