Yo Seth, this video guide is a bit of a let down. There are good ones in KL I think Wilson bring you to the wrong places. If I was to hang out with you, I would definitely take you to: Petaling Street (CHINATOWN) Jalan Pudu Jalan Imbi Jalan Ipoh
@Sethluifoodtravel2 жыл бұрын
yes i was also quite let down with the places lol. To be fair WIlson wasn't the one that picked the places...

Food looked so meh. Speaking as an outsider, dunno why theyre so haolian about their food compared to SG.
@KeoNz2 жыл бұрын
honestly, their food is very salty and alot of msg hence only liked by their own people. They think SG food is bland whereas the world think their food is too "heavy". This is why SG food is more well received around the world with many international awards.

Announcing the price plus the location plus time of business operations is very informative. Too much time talking nonsensities. Most of the time sounds like jargon.

I always enjoy your amazing food videos, I have not been to Kuala Lumpur. 😊
@simplyme33062 жыл бұрын
Oh no...seems like a day of mostly wasted calories. There are much much more nicer KL food than those in the video except for ICC Pudu which has some well known stalls. However not a lot of the known stalls were shown? The sisters popiah is closed? Oh I remember there was this old uncle selling bak kwa buns toasted using charcoal outside the Pudu area on his bike. He's been selling it since my father's childhood times! Hopefully you get to visit some good night markets as well (totally different with Singapore's that are expensive and really selling the same stuff everywhere). Chinatown has lots of good food as well. Unfortunately I don't have the names and addresses as each time I visit KL, our cousins and family members would bring us to all the nice foodie hunts.

wow bak kwa bun sounds sick... would love to know the timing and how to find it!

I don't think you get many Malays on your channel. I'm mixed Chinese so I think I can say a bit about both cuisines lah. First of all, palate different and that's why you didn't enjoy Rasta? That's bullshit. Good food is good regardless if it's Malay, Chinese or whatever. You just went to the wrong place for Malay food. If you just go down the road across the traffic lights, you will teach Kg Sg Penchala for authentic Malay food at Sambal Hijau. There's also Mie Cord there for proper malay-style char kuay teow. The satay there also is pretty good. And as I mentioned in Episode 1, Malaysia is not just Chinese food. Go Kampung Baru for the best Malay food. Go Little India for best banana leaf. That's what makes us unique. Not overpriced Malay food court just to tick the box that you had Malay food. Sad case lah and sad representation of our food.
@zane81162 жыл бұрын
Hopefully you see this but next round please go the following places for non-chinese food:- 1) Nasi Lemak Wanjo @ Kampung Baru 2) Restoran Kak Som @ Kampung Baru for Kelantanese food 3) Sri Ganapathy Mess in PJ for banana leaf rice. If not just go to any Bananabros outlet also can if you want fuss free. 4) Ikan Bakar Seri Melaka @ Jalan Bellamy 5) Nasi Kandar Gani Maju @ Bukit Jalil 6) Itik Salai Mashtar @ Kajang 7) Might as well go for Satay if you're in Kajang And many many more lah. Please lah find proper host who knows more types of food.
