Gray hollow = crabs claw from that beach , one of Calvert Cliff’s signature finds . For crab legs you go to Purse Beach, but for the claws Calvert Cliffs and for vertebrae Aurora , NC and Manatee the Peace River in Florida with a guide due to gators and snakes ( and you or the guide must have a license to hunt fossils in Florida).

always have a box window screen and a troul or small shovel to take the shell hash and screen it thru the screen.

Some look like croc teeth. Have y'all been to Purse SP? We always find tons of shark teeth there!

Yes we were thinking crocodile teeth too! We’ve never been to Purse SP. We’ll add it to the list! Thanks! 😃

No bathrooms at Purse Beach or parking. You actually have to park at Nanjemoy hunting area.

It’s a lot easier for your children to find fossils at purse beach state park than Calvert Cliffs

I think that's probably the tip of a mineralized (fossilized) crab claw.
