Its amazing you can still find stuff like this. Back in 85, l started collecting Star Wars action figures. My wife brought this bag of loose Star Wars figures for our young son from Woolworths. They removed the figures from the card and stuck them in a baggie with all the accessories on sale 20 figures for $5. I went & grabbed as many as l could find with all the mini rigs. The following week, l was checking & they had restocked, this time I picked the once with all the Stormtroopers. Then over the years, l got lots more stuff from flea markets.

The notalgia is strong with this one. My brother and I had almost all the figures, vehicles, playsets and creatures from the original Kenner line. We were missing the landspeeder (although we did have the remote-controlled landspeeder), star destroyer playset, death star playset, and some ewok stuff, through the entire run with the exception of the last run, called Power of the Force, and the vehicles that were released under the Droids label (A-Wing and B-Wing maybe?). We were 'too old to be buying star wars figures' by the time the last set was released. We chased them for years afterward, but never completed the set. Nice pickup!

As someone who used to collect a lot of, and sell more, the Star Wars lot was definitely a big score and brought back some great nostalgia. You could easily double your money and then some with that lot so congrats on capitalizing at an event where comics didn't produce as one might like. As always, Mike, keep the videos coming!

I still have my dad's Darth Vader carrying case full of figures and weapons. Most of the figures are missing their trench coats though. I also read 52 as it was coming out. It was such a cool idea and a great story.

I am so jealous, brother. My folks couldn't afford to get me the vehicles as a kid, and I used to sit and watch my friends play with theirs. That TIE Fighter looks so awesome, and to find a Vader figure in there is amazing. Great grabs all around, Mike!

I had a bunch as a kid I got for my 5th birthday that someone handed down to me. They were the best toys I had. I remember my Lando to kindergarten because all the other kids has GI Joe and Lando could pass as some normal dude and I wants to fit in. Fond memories.

I seem to recall there was a rare Star Wars figure in the first release of the "Jawa". Apparently the first version included a cloth cloak which was soon after made of thin flexible plastic. I guess the cloth cloak Jawa likely in the box still is worth stupid money.

Having gone to a lot of estate sales in the past, that kind of politeness is very rare. I have alwYs tried to be polite but when going through boxes I have had people reach over my shoulder and grab comics or whatever is in the box ahead of where I am in the box. Kind of like every person for themselves. Even had a guy jump over a bed to get ahead of me for something that was hanging on a wall (large vintage photo of a Guy on a Harley whic I was heading for). Yeah I have seen tug of wars over stuff. It can be the Wild West out there

Would love to come across these at a yard sale or thrift store or in the wild just to have. Those and my original G.I. Joe figures. Mike, you've solved a mystery for me (possibly). I have a minicomic of The X-Men from 1988, it reprints X-Men #53 from 1969 and I haven't been able to learn its origin. It too may have come from a serial box. Great lot of comics and toys Mike. But no mention of the Shakespeare book glimpsed on your library trolley? It looks old, is a hardcover and quite large, possibly a Collected Works? That is one book I would definitely buy to add to my Shakespeare collection.

I know nothing about toys, but this was all very interesting. I'm wondering, though. Can you use parts of different toys to make up a whole one to sell? I know that ruins a comic book value, marring covers and centre folds etc. But what about with toys?

I never respond to comments like this but I have to here because you are clearly missing the context. One, I said in the video I was keeping the ones I didn’t already have, which are most of them. Two, the other guy was going to resell ALL OF THEM and he barely offered me more than I got them for. I have a well documented history, which you can confirm through my previous videos, of being extremely fair, honest, and generous with people, and this was a case where as much as I wanted to help the guy out I’m not going to go through all that work and walk away empty handed just so a flipper can make more money. As is, I gave up almost all those comic books to other people, including him. I didn’t have to do that either.
