Hi everyone!
I know, I know, it's been a while but FINALLY I can talk about WHY I have taken a break for videos for a moment.... Ready?
I am SO excited to bring you the trailer for a docuseries I am featured in called, Finding India!
Here is the description:
"Chef Keith Sarasin goes on a transformative journey to rediscover his passion for cooking. Amid professional success and personal loss, Sarasin undergoes a reimagining of his life’s work and himself as a human. Where it took him next was the biggest surprise of his life."
I NEED YOUR HELP! Help us bring this amazing story to life by donating today at www.keithsarasin.com and clicking FINDING INDIA!
When my mother died, I started on a search. I didn’t know what I was looking for. I just knew that I would know when I felt it. At that time, I was finding success beyond my wildest dreams, but I still lived under this dark shadow I just couldn’t figure out. I remembered back to the time years ago, I found myself in the back of an Indian market when I heard this small voice ask me if I wanted to try something. I could never imagine that that ensuing singular bite sent me on an adventure to the other side of the planet. I was searching for joy, for belonging - looking to others who speak the same language as me - the language of food. What I found changed my life forever. In finding India, I found myself.
Our ask:
Help us fund the production of an incredible story that helps break down walls of race, religion, language, and understanding of the Indian Culture through the eyes of a Chef.
From the producer:
We are producing a three-part series about Keith’s journey. Your support helps us with expenses related to production specifically.
Don't forget to check the rest of my videos on my channel!

Hi Keith. You are stronger than you think you are otherwise you won’t have done what you have been doing. Being scared is natural. India can be very overwhelming for someone who has lived all their lives in West. People either love it or hate it. There is no middle ground. Hope you have a great time in India. Have someone local with you so they can take you to hidden gems. And most importantly take care of yourself. Can’t wait to see the series.

Keith, being scared is a normal human reaction. It prepares you for unknown. Those 19 hours can be reduced to 13 hours if you take a nonstop New York to Delhi flight. Get ready to activate all your senses at once as it happens with all my friends who travel there. And yes diarrhea is a unavoidable as you will be trying food from different places and street vendors. I would avoid anything that is raw and uncooked or lying for more than 2 hours (raita, chutney, salad, fresh cut fruits golgappa pani etc.) for at least a week and try them slowly to prepare my gut bacteria. Also, just drink packaged drinking water or RO water. Believe me it will be a fun and unforgettable journey as there is a lot to discover in Indian cuisine that ppl just don’t know. 👍🏼

Hi Keith. I've watched a few of your videos which are very interesting. I can understand your situation as I've gone thru worse - losing my mother, my wife and my father. I'm a foodie and love any kind of food. On your travels to search out different Indian cuisine, you might consider checking out Saraswat Konkani delicacies. Predominantly vegetarian and very unique.

It's really hard to talk about depression & grief. So u are so strong to talk about it. I hope u find whatever it is u are looking for. P.S- India will be very chaotic & noisy if u go to the main cities like Delhi & Mumbai but they got some amazing street food ever. If u wanted some quite & peace, u might wanna go to the North east or south of india. Have a native with u so that u don't get scammed. Be safe 💜

Keith, Good Luck on your journey, Just as I came to this country with a few hundred $ in my pocket, and no job, and a friend who agreed to put me up in his Apt. for two weeks was scary enough, but I was young and Stupid I took that challenge, and rest is history, I won't bother you with the details, but so is life, you don't accept challenge you don't progress, and you don't have a story to tell, at the end of the day I can tell my daughters my story, the life of an Immigrant, succeeding, my story is not unique, but i am proud of it!
