I just discovered the Hebrew word for Jesus (Yeshua) is the same word as "Salvation". Amazing to find verses with the word "Salvation" and read it as "Jesus". Isaiah 62:11- "Surely your salvation (Jesus) is coming; Behold His reward is with Him, and His work before Him". Several more uses throughout! God is amazing!

Truth Seeker AZ no yeshua is joshua in English the word Jesus came from the Greek bible.

Ufc 3 gameplay Yeshua is a Hebrew originating name. One with a Greek equivalent as “Jesus” because of their naming conventions. Joshua is likewise an Englishized form of Yeshua. Yeshua means “Salvation” and is plainly researchable.
@espositogregory

Though you are correct about Yeshua being a name meaning Salvation, but this is a ubiquitous quality in Hebrew names. NOT ONLY do nearly all Hebrew names have meaning (not simply meant to mean, but a mesh or single words) but also, they mostly have Religious/spiritually lofty meanings. This is especially true for earlier, more trying times. It shouldn’t be too too surprising to know that there are a great man Yeshuas in Hebrew history, as well as variants of the word

Jesus is not the Old Testament God. Read Psalms 110:1 And the LORD (YHWH) said unto my Lord, sit at my right hand, ...... Notice that two lords are mentioned, the first LORD is the father, and the second lower case lord is jesus. But the God of the old Testament, name is always in all caps. So the Father is the old testament God.

In 2nd Esdras Chapter 7 verses 28 -29 [KJV 1611 / Apocrypha] "2 Esdras 7:28-29 [28]For my son Jesus shall be revealed with those that be with him, and they that remain shall rejoice within four hundred years. [29]After these years shall my son Christ die, and all men that have life." My take: 400 years before Jesus came into the world in the flesh. May God keep you blessed.

I've read all the linked and mentioned chapters and all I see is confirmational bias, they see what they want to see, in this case references to Jesus. Even if these chapters were seemingly in reference to anyone, the New Testament could have been just fulfilling these references purposefully after the fact. Since you know the NT was written later, which means the authors have read the OT. Either way, these are better explanations than "Oh, these are about Jesus OHH LAWDDD!!!!". I posted this under another comment so don't be surprised if you see this comment twice.

I've been studying Christ in the OT for the last 20 years, thus can appreciate where you're coming from. Definitely would to compare notes some time to see just how much of God's love can be revealed within the text. Actually, I've found the scriptures are not just about Jesus, but they reflect the Christ! Be good to discuss the difference although Jesus and the Christ cannot be separated. LOL

In Esther, I think Mordecai is a better match than Esther. Haman wanted him dead but his plan backfired and Mordecai was praised by the king instead. If you recast them I think it would look like this. - The King - God - Esther - I think she'd be the church or maybe the disciples - Haman - Satan - Mordecai - Jesus What do you think?

I am not sure I understand your view of Amos. The Northern Kingdom of Israel, not the Southern Kingdom of Judah was the context of the book (Amos 2:6-9:15). In the notes, it references the entirety of the text, but once again, the context and the audience of who Amos is speaking to is the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

To be 100% honest : If - The only perfect king. - was not in the old testament, I don't think I would believe in Christ. Because it is weird to only write books about a messiah after his death (New Testament). If someone wrote - The only perfect king. - for another human or the most high god, it is incorrect. I see no reasons to not believe in Christ but it is weird that he is not clearly mentionned in the Old Testament. What do you think?

Very interesting but not sure about Jesus being ‘wisdom’ In Proverbs. Jehovah’s witnesses often point to (Proverbs 8:22-23) as a prophetic testimony of Jesus as the first creation. They point to references that God “produced” him and “brought [him] forth,” and profess that this demonstrates plainly that Jesus was a created being. James white wisely point out that If Proverbs is referring to Jesus, then he is a female (proverbs 8:1-2) who dwells in a house with seven pillars (Proverbs 9:1) with someone called Prudence. (Proverbs 8:12). So we need to be careful there.

Yahshua walked this earth in His corruptible flesh and blood body for 33 and a half years according to Moses law. Yahshua fulfilled Moses law perfectly. He came on the Appointed day and died on the Appointed Day according to Moses law. Yahshua was born on the 14Th day Tishri at 3PM and died on the 14Th day of Nissan at 3PM. So says Yahweh. Yahshua died on the 14Th day of the first month and was RAISED from the second death at 6AM on the 1ST day of the week. Yahweh was in the second death for 39 hours according to Moses law. Absolute perfection from a perfect God. Yahweh RAISED his SON from the second death and gave Him His incorruptible flesh and blood body back and took His SON back to the 3RD heaven. Rom. 10: 9. think about it this way, the bible talks bout John as if he was sent from god, we all know john becomes the beast, it what comes after that which the bible talks about, John only came witness to the light once his rein of darkness was over, The reason its John baptising and not Jesus first is because since John was the beast, we all trust him when he says we can go to heaven, becuase we know john is smarter than that to let the temtation of heaven take control of him.

John wasnt john when he took a litle marathon run too, he only became john once he had his revelation. I believe John becomes Jesus because the revelation was sent to John, at this is the revelation of Jesus, so i believe that John also Jesus because it says heaps of times in the new testament that John has 2 deciples, and then once John becomes a Massiah, thats when he looks for more followers. but yeah such a relief that Jesus is here for ONLY the people going to hell, it says hes not here to call the rightouse, but to call SINNERS into repentance, and i trust this because if we were actually going to hell, heaven wouldnt be fucked up enouugh to tempt you to die, becuase heaven knows what keeps us pumping. and Jesus knows this too, but since Jesus was John aswell, we can all Trust Jesus like the Brother in arms we all love you know?

It’s for you to decipher. Here in the New Testament it confirms that Jesus was, from the beginning. John 1:1-5 “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” ‭‭🤍

i understand the links you make but isnt this a bit far fetched? why would they call him by different names at different times? how can you tell these representations are actually jesus christ? it just seems like youre trying to make something fit. id like to know how and why it fits. its with utter respect i ask these questions. it seems like all ministers or teachers of god have differing opinions of where to find jesus in the old testament and im confused at what to believe.. some even say jesus was the snake in genesis. when the romans re wrote the bible they sure took out a lot of stuff and added a whole lot more. how do you know youve not been deceived by the romans and are just seeking to make it fit with what i would call the true word of god in the original bible? as i said, with utter respect i ask these questions.

The bible says no man has seen the face of God. If Jesus is God then people have seen Gods face. Jacob wrestled with God In the desert. He told Esau he has seen the face of God. God made several appearances in the old testament.

Who writes and sells a Christian book on Kindle and then sells it for $29.95? Joseph Farah... The Gospel In Every Book of the Old Testament... When most Kindle books sell for under a $1.00 a "Christian" walks into the room and tries to sell it for $29.99...when it costs next to nothing...literally...to publish and sell on Amazon via Kindle. What is he saving up for... a Jet? How is it Christian to make merchandise of the Word of God? 2 Peter 2:3, "And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." Believers need to be cautious of those who come to them preaching while seeking to drain them of their hard earned money. Besides you can easily find this same kind of content on KZbin that covers the same kind of "gospel" in each of the books of the Old Testament that was published last year on KZbin. You can get it here for free...and it won't take you days to read. Also please note that the Joseph Farah has mis-classified this book in the Amazon category of "More Bible Translations". Please note this book is not a Bible translation in anyway shape or form. The use of this categorization appears to be a means of improving sales or improving longevity of the book. We don't know. The author would have to answer that question. Either way he should accurately categorize it so as to not mislead buyers of the book.

Are you for real? Where do any one of these show any evidence that they are referring to jesus? That's like me saying I am in the bible because I just ate an apple and it says apple in the bible. Please tell me you have some more concrete reason to think jesus is anywhere in the ot.
@nothingbutthetruth613

@Cami G Thank you. Actually I've read it many times. Have you read this chapter? Do you know the context of it? Most christians just read this one verse. Do you realize that there is no way possible this is talking about the messiah and definitely not jesus? Read what it's talking about. Do you also know that Matthew lied terribly about this? The word alma does not mean virgin. It doesn't say will conceive. It says conceived in the past tense. The very next 2 verses clearly show that this sign will happen very soon. Jesus was 700 years later. If anything, the fact that Matthew deliberately lied about this should make you run far away from the church. There is zero mention of jesus or any of the doctrines of christianity in the bible. The bible actually is the antithesis of all the church teaches. Any more?
@nothingbutthetruth613
@nothingbutthetruth613 3 жыл бұрын
@Cami G We can disagree about something that is based on opinion and is not a fact. However, this is not a point to debate. 7:14 is clear and there is no way around it. Do me a favor and read the chapter. There is no way possible this is talking about jesus. The fact that it is written by someone who is supposed to be a jew makes it even more despicable because he obviously knew that this is not what it says. I believe in the hebrew bible aka old testament and I believe when it tells me that the laws are forever, that it is true. Not sure what part of "forever" the church doesn't understand but God does not lie and for the nt to claim that the ot has changed and we don't need the mosaic laws any more, can not be. As far as people having visions of jesus and having a change of heart by believing in jesus, this happens with every single religion. There are millions of people who claim to have seen mohamed in dreams. Millions of people who see budha etc. Every religion and belief system claims the same thing. This obviously means nothing because only one can be right. Besides that how do they even know they see jesus? Did he have a name tag on? Nobody knows what he looks like. And feeling good is the effect from any religion. Just the fact that you believe in a higher power that is watching you and doing good for you is a very relieving feeling. Let's just look at the very next fulfillment prophecy according to Matthew in 2:15. Here's another blatant lie. Look at the context in Hosea 11:1 that he is quoting. It is not at all talking about the messiah. He purposely leaves out the very beginning of that exact verse which tells us it is talking about Israel. This has nothing to do with the messiah or jesus. And even if it does, how dare Matthew claim that the fact that he left Egypt means he is the messiah. How many trillions of people have left Egypt since Hosea wrote this? How can this be a sign to prove who the messiah is. Just another obvious lie that should make you run again.

@Sunny Dayz Again, where does any of this show evidence that jesus is the messiah? It's as crazy as saying that since I took a hike on a mountain, when God came to Mount Sinai He was prophesizing my eventual hike. Because there was a ram by the sacrificing of Isaac and a snake on a pole does not point to jesus. Just think please. Why doesn't this point to any of the thousands of people that were crucified by the Romans? Why can't the ram represent any of the thousands of people from all religions who have died as martyrs for what they believe? Do you see how foolish this is? Just like the video, none of this points to jesus or is in any way evidence. This is besides the fact that the snake represents satan and jesus was supposedly supposed to be a lamb. Let's go on to your other things. Zachariah 12:10 would be pretty compelling. Except there's one huge problem. It doesn't say the one who was pierced. This is a typical mistranslation by the church. It says "because of" the one who was pierced. It is not God. Besides that how do you read the next line which says "mourn for him". First God calls himself in the first person and now He says him?? Don't you see this is someone else? There's no other way to read this and the church lied to you. Psalm 22 does not say they pierced my hands at all. The word means lion, not pierced and the church struck again. Don't you find it at all troubling that you are asked to believe in something that is based on lies. The nt authors knew they had to justify their religion from the ot so they distorted it and changed it to fit their agenda. Why doesn't this make you run as far as possible from them? Let's see. What else. Oh yeah. Isaiah 53. There's a whole slew of lies and mistranslation here. Do you know verse 5 says "from" our transgressions? Same thing with verse 8. It also says in verse 8 "from our transgressions they suffered". It's not "he". The word in hebrew is lamo and it appears 83 times in the bible and it always means the same thing, they. This could not be one person. Did you know verse 10 says there would be offspring? How could any of this point to jesus?? Don't you find it odd that there is no verse in the entire bible that clearly describes even one of the doctrines of christianity? Where are all the verses saying God is one in 3 parts? It's pretty clear He is one all over the place. Don't you think it is important a little to just add "and 3"? How hard would that have been? Where are all the verses saying how we need jesus to die for us? It's pretty clear all over that we don't need anyone to die and we could achieve salvation ourselves Deuteronomy 30, Genesis 4. Where are all the verses saying how we need sacrifices for forgiveness? Actually it says many places how we don't need sacrifices and all we need is to repent from our ways. Isaiah 1, Psalms 40. I could go on and on with how antithetical the ot is to everything you believe in. Don't you find it odd that of all the prophecies that are clear in the ot, jesus did not fulfill even one of them? Where is the universal peace? Where is the universal knowledge of God? There's more atheists today than ever. Where is the rebuilt temple? He obviously couldn't have done that since he died before it was destroyed. Don't you see that these were the signs that the prophets told us about that are verifiable and undeniable? We won't need to believe in the messiah. We will look out the window and see that he is here by the way the world has been transformed. Believe me that there is so so much pointing away from jesus and all you are being told is to further an agenda at any cost.

@Sunny Dayz If he didn't do anything, how do you know he is who you say he is? Don't you get it? The whole point of the signs were so we will know that it is him. Why do you think he is the messiah? Why? Because he said he is? So if I say I am, then you'll believe me too? The only thing he allegedly did was miracles and do you have any idea how many times the bible mentions the messiah doing miracles? Zero. The only mention of miracles is in Deuteronomy 13 where it is clear that you shouldn't follow him. You won't get back to me because I have showed you numerous lies upon lies and there is no debate in this. And Malchitzedek I forgot about. Probably because of how stupid it is. Genesis has one line on this person but the church makes a story about him. It literally says he is the king of Salem. That's it. Give me a break. You are right about one thing. The 10 tribes definitely made God angry and they got dispersed but it is clear in Leviticus 26 that God will never abandon the Israelites which is why Zachariah is clear that in the end times gentiles will grab the coat of a jew and beg him to teach them the bible. If jews are nothing but rejected in the eyes of God, why would anyone be going to a jew?

I will never understand Christians logic. God is all forgiving and all powerful, so why is it necessary for GOD to sacrafice his son for the forgiveness of sins. Why couldn't GOD just forgive peoples sins. Numerous times in the Bible Jesus prays, so if he is equal to GOD who is he praying to and why. It is completely illogical for GOD to pray to himself. The strange thing is Jews knew the Old Testament if by heart yet they never recognised Jesus in the old testament.
