My son just turned two and I'm a single mama. I've made the resolution to go out once a month and do something for me. Even if it's just to sit at Starbucks and read a book. It's crazy how much of myself I've lost since having my son. I too am ready to reclaim me!

Just recently found your channel and I’m so glad I did! I’m a mom to 2 girlies, a 2 year old and a 9 month old 🤍 just thought I’d let you know you’ve really motivated me to push my boundaries to become a better parent. 🤍 When my first daughter was born 2 years ago I felt like I really forgot to take care of myself and lost myself in the process of becoming a mom and the self confidence I had flew out the window! Recently I’ve realized I’m not as ‘happy’ as I could be with myself, if that makes sense, which has resulted to me not being the best mom and partner I can be to my family. I’ve decided 2020 is gonna be the year I work on me, better me and find ME again without feeling guilty about it! IN OTHER WORDS thank you sooo much for encouraging other moms like myself to do better not only at mom-ing but also for ourselves! Also you make me miss vloging 😂🤷🏻♀️ you make it look so fun 🤗 THANK YOU AGAIN HAYLEY 🤍

Girl. Try impress nails. I’m a mom of 4 and I am constantly cleaning. I wear dish gloves when I do the dishes and they stay on for 7 days! Just dip your nails on acetone first, then apply them before you go to bed. Don’t wash your hands until the morning. I swear by them and get better deals online then in stores.
@TresChicMama5 жыл бұрын
Lauren Ciampi My nails are extremely thin & sort of flat shaped and NOTHING stays on them 😭 I’ve never tried them bc I assumed they wouldn’t work. I may just have to now 🤷♀️

Since my daughter hit 3 years old, I started doing my nails myself because I became terrified of bringing my daughter and my husband was/is always gone. Now I have two kids, so getting my nails done is out of the question. So I do them myself. Have you considered doing them yourself? I just do gel polish at home (gel polish lasts longer than regular polish and adds some strength). I do it when my kids go to bed and just put on some KZbin and Netflix. It’s kind of become my way to unwind. But I will admit there are some nights when I need to do a new set, and I’m too tired to be bothered. I make myself do it anyways because having my nails done helps me feel a little more put together. I do miss a nice set of French tip acrylics though. 😉
@TresChicMama5 жыл бұрын
Veronica Anderson I’ve never done anything other than regular polish myself. Which is pointless on me as it lasts barely 24 hours haha I can look into the gel but don’t know the first thing about it 🤪

Tres Chic Mama It sounds more intimidating than it is! All you need is a UV/LED lamp, a base and top coat, and a color. Having a bottle of rubbing alcohol is good too. You just buff you the nail, ever so slightly. Dehydrate the nail with some acetone or rubbing alcohol. The put on a base coat, cure it. Then apply a coat of color and cure. Then repeat one or two more times. Then top coat it and cure. You can use a small brush (the elf tiny concealer brushes work perfectly) dipped in alcohol to clean up around the cuticle BEFORE you cure the polish. It does take practice but it lasts over a week or so. I’ve had some manicures last three weeks. Amazon has everything you’ll need. Just search for a UV/LED lamp. I would suggest the brand Aimeili (pink bottles), on Amazon. They have a no wipe top coat, so you don’t have to wipe the sticky layer off of the top coat after it’s cured. I have DND and Gelish and I still prefer my Aimeili base and top coat! They also have a matte top coat. They offer a ton of colors too. I have several and love them all. The brand ModelOnes is also good for colors. But I find their top and base coat to be garbage. If you are still feeling uneasy, there’s a ton of videos available on KZbin. NailCareerEducation is one of my favorite nail channels. Suzie has the most soothing, comforting grandmother type voice. But just type in gel polish tutorial and you’ll find a ton!

For the gym I always recommend YMCA because they have awesome childcare. We did LA fitness, 24 hours and Y is hands down the best. They play with them, do crafts vs just 'watch' them, mom gets two hours at the gym. You could also do some editing if you bring your laptop; ) I went before just to read a book... Also ask for their scholarships because as single mom you will probably get a nice discount

Great basket for under the entryway table! Actually I think the touch of openness from the nature of the weave, itself, is good in that it makes that area visually somewhat less closed-in. We all go up and down, in and out, 'round and 'round. I think my weird brother once said that with all the phases even adults go through, he figured that meant the last 15 minutes of life should be great. I told you he is weird. But, I kinda get what he meant: when is the respite from being buffeted about by change and crisis and circumstance and chores. And with a child, every time you think you are on solid ground and have a good schedule, happy relationship worked out here come more phases for the child. The joy of it is that you get to teach her. The hell of it is that if you don't teach her well now, pretty soon she starts to leave the realm of your control and dominance, externally and internally, so you will lose your power over her bit by bit. The world and all that's in it is seductive. I would be telling you how worried I am about you if you were "steady as she goes" all the flippin' time. It would be abnormal. And you would have nothing to share with us or with Sydney. Children, the ill/injured, those with mental challenges, can get quite resentful of parents/others they have been given to think never struggle with anything because they seem perfect all the time. And they will rebel against what they do not see, even if it is hidden inside the parent and the confidentiality of a shrink's office. And that will be because they have spent every moment up to that rebellion feeling inferior to the parent who never cried, shouted, vomited, made a mistake, had to apologize for misjudging something. Other than through your constant love and willingness to share what you have with her, even in lean times, what you most have to offer her is a living guide to real life. It is how you handle heartbreak and failure and accidents and fear that will teach her constancy, hope, effort and courage. I had a feeling Sydney would be pretty good while you got your nails done. She had been good that other time at the hairdresser or some sort of salon. There need to be salons with play areas the way some gyms have childcare for while you are working out. You can always tell her to be well-behaved while you get something done that you need to do, because you will not do something she wants to do if you cannot trust her all the time to be well-behaved and polite while using her words and inside voice when around others, etc. Otherwise, everything you do for her in her mind is to win her favor, so she will manipulate you. She does not know she cannot survive without you. It is true that all children, except in spurts of sympathy, are utterly self-centered. I presently know someone with several children whose 2-year-old is quite erratic, even when not in meltdown mode which is fairly predictable. She no longer feels she has any real control over how her toddler behaves in public, so has had to make the temporary decision never to go out to eat with her again with other people, so that the whole occasion does not get ransacked by this toddler terrorist. But, she has a husband who is good with the kids and household and parents nearby, so can get out with a girlfriend for a drink on occasion without the wee one. The others are in kindergarten and elementary school. You said you were limiting her screen time at home to evenings before bedtime after supper, so when you have to go to the hairdresser or some such is a good time to take a tablet with you to keep her occupied and she'll consider it such a treat, an indulgence and not just the same old, same old. It may seem odd to you if you are not familiar with it, but in lieu of dance classes or gymnastics which are demanding yet can be very cliquish depending upon how the ballet master or gymnastics instructor handles the class, I would recommend looking into a martial art like taekwondo. It is an art, sport, spiritual discipline, body training, and could protect her as a female alone in a dorm on a college campus one day. Probably no one will mess with a brown or black belt in taekwondo, which is not violent. But it is highly skilled, precise, extremely strong physical movements that promote one's sense of self-control and ability to handle things around them, if need be, by exhibiting strength. They teach moral principles, like integrity, in each class and there are lots of girls taking these courses. They do not discriminate and there is no sense that anyone cannot be taught, as with situations where a ballet master or gymnastics instructor could be among those who favor those whom they consider to be gifted and might bring them some glory. The concept of personal glory in that sense does not exist in martial arts, which are about knowing and using and disciplining the self from inside and through the body's movements. I think they begin admitting students from about the age of 3. Any of those 3 disciplines would be good for her with the right teacher. Taekwondo may have a more lasting benefit and influence in her life. You looked so warm in those new boots that they made my feet hot. You are doing well, believe it or not.
