We viewed our favourite venue first as well and completely fell in love! I kept saying I didn't want to put all our eggs in one basket, viewed a load of other venues and just couldn't get our venue out of our head, just fell in love with it xx

I did the same thing- first venue we looked at, booked! I do wonder if I should have looked elsewhere but if you love it then that's all that matters. I get married in less than 3 months and still don't regret it! Ahhh so exciting 🤍

Aw, I love how excited you are! Such a stunning wedding venue :) I am a few years older than you and got married in 2018 but I am all for spreadsheets, currently pregnant with our first baby and a spreadsheet has been our friend! Happy wedding planning, enjoy every minute. It’s a lot of money but it really is the BEST day you will have as a couple, except when George was born! Ceri x

My fiancé and I also knew from the moment we stepped foot in the first venue that it was the one! We did still go and view 2 other venues but it felt pointless because nothing compared after that point. Good luck with your wedding plans! It’s going to be incredible ❤️

We live 20 minutes away from this venue. We viewed it for our wedding but it wasn’t available on the dates we wanted. Absolutely beautiful venue!!!! It was all set up when we looked, was stunning x

@@HomeWithShan Thank you so much 🥰 Definitely keep track of the budget, it can get out of hand very quickly! All of the "extras" like bridesmaids robes, flutes, even favours are a waste of money imo 🙈 I spent £15 on favours which were personalised chocolates, no one ate them 🤣 People will have their input, no matter how chill you think they are. Always keep what you and your fiancé want at the forefront of your mind, as it can get messy (yes, I'm speaking from experience 🤣.) My husband and I set out exactly what we wanted from the get go, so we had an unplugged ceremony, no social media until we had posted ourselves and a mostly child free wedding due to the rules at the venue. People challenged us from time to time but if it's what you both want, then their opinion doesn't matter! But ultimately, just enjoy the planning. The final few weeks fly by and the day even more so. I'm currently planning our wedding (which we've had to push back a year as we got pregnant and baby is due on wedding day - oops!) And honestly I just feel so overwhelmed that I can't even think where to begin 😩 we've booked our venue and catering and the registrar etc but that's it!! I have no idea where to even start with the rest of it - I haven't even looked at dresses yet due to Covid and now the fact I'm 6 months pregnant too 🤣 I'm looking forward to watching your series for some inspiration hopefully!

I'm a wedding coordinator and one piece of advice i give all brides is to enjoy the planning process, don't let people stress you out or force opinions, its a magical time of your life, so enjoy it. Another piece of advice, is to go to wedding fairs, a lot of them have competitions on, one of my brides won £200 off her wedding dress, another won her entire wedding cake, wedding fairs are also good for getting good prices on vendors as a lot of them put on special offers if you book with them then and there

Would love to know how much you’re spending on hair and make up for you and your bridal party! I’ve had one quote so for £1,650 (Cardiff) and wondering if this is average?! I have 8 bridesmaids and my mum for hair and make up (so 10 in total) xx
