@OurJourneyToSuccess you can find lots of mouth-watering choices for iftar in bazaar ramadan. It's annually held every day for the whole fasting month from 4-7pm for people to buy their food and drinks. In each town/place there will be several bazaars, you can just go to your nearest one. You can also experience iftar at the merdeka square, usually people break their fast there together picnic style and proceed for tarawih prayers at masjid jamek just a walk away from the merdeka square (in the middle of The River of Life where it lights up at night with fairytale-like fogs/mists). Our mosques also usually will provide food for iftar.

I admire you for your attention to detail that some people ignore. I like when you prioritize Islamic values ​​wherever you are. Real Muslims, when they travel or wherever they go, they will find a mosque or place of prayer first before taking care of other things. I would like to explain a bit about Malaysia. This country is one of a kind. It a secular country with majorities is Muslim, official religion is Islam, where other religion is free to practice their own, one of the biggest buddha statue is in Malaysia, plenty of church and temple. Malaysia does not practice the concept of assimilation but integration with other races, unlike some other countries. Of course it is not perfect but it is enough to create a harmonious country. Other races are free to practice their own culture and language without erasing their originality. Where else can you see countries that give public holidays to their respective religious festivals. There is no denying that sometimes racial unity is at stake and questioned but it can be overcome and not escalated to worst. We feel sorry for some Muslims being massacred, killed because of religious hatred such as in India, China and some other countries that are prejudiced against Muslims. But in Malaysia, even though the majority is Muslim, we have never treated cruelty to other races and religions. That is called true diversity. We Malaysian are so blessed.
