My family when through the tailings . It doesn't look like he was in the tailings. We found small quartz stones. And the others that were there had similar findings. I should have gone to the mine.🙃

@@soonverysoon1465 this was from the phantom dig, which is a different tailings area than their Crystal Forest dig. Both dig options at Wegner, Crystal Forest and the Phantom, are tailings. Tailings digs can be great, and also frustrating because you don’t know if you’re digging through an area that someone else has already gone through. If I don’t find anything within a good 5-10 minutes of digging, I usually assume someone else may have dug there and move on to another location that looks untouched. Or, if I find a few surface finds in a relatively close area to one another, that’s a good indicator for me as well.

I was looking at Wegner today I haven't been there in almost 6 years and I think this video may have made up my mind for me and only 4 hours isnt bad that forces me to go check out there tailings pile in the afternoon

Do you get to keep whatever you find, or do you have to pay by the pound for whatever you want to keep?

You get to keep everything that you find. There was people bringing back more stuff than I did. I limited myself because I was thinking there’s only so much room on the truck, but they make it all fit.

Hi Joe , liking the videos, I will be out in AR the first week of May to hit a few of the mines , would love to have soeone experienced with crystal mining to join me on my digs, let me know if you would like to join me on a dig or two.

Thanks so much!! I'll have to wait until it gets a little closer to time to see if I can make it or not. The mines are about 3.5 hours away, and I have to schedule days where I'm not working and I have no family obligations with my wife and with our kids for the day. Winter time is easy for me because the kids have less activities and the weather usually isn't the best, so it's easier for me to sneak away because none of them want to do anything outdoors during those times. But when the weather is favorable, they all want to do things together as a family, so I'll have to see when it gets a little closer to time.
