That is the base of a hand forged trap, the moving part held the pan to trigger the trap. Cool finds!

Good job brother!! It’s getting colder here but not Northern Michigan cold! I couldn’t help but think, “this guy has to have cold feet” with those sneakers on. Glad to get another video from you for this year! It is a bonus for sure!!

Wow, live digging a shoe buckle in Michigan not to mention the other amazing finds, I see someone already said a trap. I'm late to the show. Thanks for the great content. Good luck everyone!

That iron X looking thing does look like an old trap. Awesome find. I definitely have the issue of trying to leave to stick to a schedule, and say “just one more hole…”. Usually my best finds are on the way back to the truck. :)

Another nice hunt! First time I hunted in snow, I was shocked to see how bad my swing pattern was. It was a learning experience to say the least.

I like being able to grid more easily as well. You lose some depth but gain in those ways.

I am fairly new to your channel!! Well this is only my 10th video to have watched of yours! It really sucks when someone has been watching videos for years and just comes across a content creator with quality of finds as yours. I’m sure you hate winter as much as I do! But I guess at this point I can go back wards and watch many of your past videos and Enjoy all the great native American artifacts and very early trader artifacts you uncover! Thank you for all the visual enlightenment.!! And education!!

That iron piece looks like it's part of an old leg trap for wolf or bear. I bet that blew your ears out!

It was really deep, and sounded like a knife or axe, glad I kept digging.

Snow and leaf litter insulate the ground, I usually go until the snow is too deep

Love the designs on that buckle! That unknown item looks to me like part of an animal trap. How tall is the tripod u use?
@Eric_Detectorist11 сағат бұрын
Thank you. I use a retractable tripod that can go from 12 inches to 24 I believe.
