I love my Aeta people. They are my Neighbors in Tipo, Their Village is Pastolan. I used to give them rides on my truck on the way to SBMA. They’re are most friendliest of people and I think our Filipino Culture of Friendliness comes from the Aetas. The first people of our lands

They mostly live in Zambales province and some live in Pampanga. We Filipinos need to do a much better job integrating them into the mainstream of society. They should be made confident enough to come down from their villages to live and work in cities. Thanks for visiting them.

They used to live in nomadic tribes that would travel from place to place looking for food and never stayed permanently in one place. The idea of the Philippines being a nation was basically an non-existent pre colonisation. They Aetas (Negritos) were the first inhabitants of the Northern and central islands way before the arrival of the first wave of Austronesians (Cordillerans). The pre-colonial Philippines didn't have a collective identity. That's why Filipino culture and Precolonial History might intertwine with each other but they're both unique on their own.

There's also, in some part of Baler Aurora province. They called it "DUMAGAT" and other part of Cagayan Valley and Apayao. They look similar to Aeta's, but they are not called Aeta, If you have time.. try to reach them, and you can see the differences.

These are not africans. We've performed genetic testings on these people. They're not African descent at all. They're descended from teh same people that east Eurasian metagroup from which East asians came from, the Haobinhian neolithic culture group of South east asia and the aboriginals from papua new guinea/ australia from which they splintered off about 40,000 years ago. Even modern craniometric and dental sundadonty is effective proof of this showing they're closely related to South east asian peoples and even Japanese peoples through common ancenstry. TLDR: It's not complicated. It's widely accepted scholarsbhip that these people are not African/ black. But it's pretty handy for afrocentric groups to reach out and try.
