Thank you all for sharing your lives, I see parallels of some of my own experiences and how you strive resonates with me. I love the cheer and laughter and the prescription of the antidote to striving😊. I was taken back in time when Ruth mentioned about talking with her Dad and not feeling listened to.....as this happened to me much at about 7/8yr old....I was being friendly and frolicking around my Dad( the less strict parent) and he ignored me several times. At one point he spoke up and said he'll come around when I make it in life. Here I am in my mid 30s still processing it all without a bond with either parent, but for the unconditional, unreserved love of Christ( which if I am being honest like Moriah I do not fully understand, but will remain steadfast).

The beauty of this scenery is what I expected from ODB when I transitioned from reading the print version to the YT daily reading. As a teenager reading ODB in the been was captivated by the magnificence of God's artistry displayed on the covers of the print version. I've been vastly disappointed by the lack of beauty of the audio version & the lack of creativity when watching the other daily version. I so wish I could have scripture AND the beauty of nature instead of just a blank screen. I desperately need the audio reading. I love the story, the scripture & prayer. It offers the guidance I need to start my day so I can always put God before everything each morning, especially on days when a full Bible study seems like a chore. I'm really enjoying this series & look forward to spending my mornings with these lovely God loving ladies of color. It really means a lot to me to learn from colorful broken crayons as that's a lovely way you describe myself as well. I truly & sincerely appreciate ODB for including POC. I used to feel so loved & welcome in the evangelical church, but recent political occurrences have broken my heart & disrupted my trust. Thank you for showing true Christian values. Thanks for making me feel included & inspired. I really hope you can include the LGBTQIA+ community as well. Also, I recognize the name Toni Collier & am trying to place it. Is this the same person who writes for ODB? I can't figure out why that name seems so familiar & brings such a feeling of comfort.

Wait, I'm confused. Are they saying that Eve being an "achiever" and not content is a positive thing? Like Eve was the original Boss Lady?

I don't believe so. The sense I got from that was that they were identifying a flaw in Eve that is similar to what a lot of us struggle with. Some of us call it "grit," "grind," "hustle," "drive," to go get whatever it is we think God could possibly be withholding from us. That, and Moriah was playing on the name "Eve" being in the word "achiever."
