The new landscape difficulty feature is live in the Lord of the Rings Online with Update 36: Gondor Renewed! I am on a quest to find the best LOTRO class for the difficulty system in LOTRO! Which class in LOTRO is best for max difficulty, which is best for baseline T3?

Agreed, my specific example would be star wars, I recall that even on launch you simply wiped out entire groups of enemies with no effort. Until the highly specialized dungeons, of course. It would really restore a lot of gameplay to so many lost mmos.

Thanks for this, useful to know. I found the highest difficulty too frustrating, I constantly died, regardless of the class. So, I would look at it less from a class perspective but more „what is playable“ perspective. So for me, Fearless +2 was actually enough challenge for solo play… but I guess every player has his/her own preferences. Anyway, I am very happy we have the difficulty system available.

I’ve been playing max landscape as a new player, currently lvl 23 on a captain and it feels challenging but doable and fun. In the past I never could get into the game cause it was too easy but now it has the challenge that it has been missing! I figured out the tank herald from captain does not suffer from the landscape difficulty debuff, so for difficult signiture elite mobs I have the tank herald solo them while just standing nearby with some minor buff/heal action and dps occasionally making sure to not draw aggro.

honestly I thought it was very easy too but seems like after like lvl 30 or so the difficulty got significantly more difficult to me but the beginning does feel too easy on a low difficulty

It is usually very easy until you get into the other areas where it is challenging and fun
