Dude your videos are a lifesaver since COVID-19 made it so those of us who scheduled stats on-ground had to take it online. Thank you so much.

You're most welcome. I produced the content here to help everyone taking stats, because there are lots of face-to-face instructors that just don't do a good job of explaining stats to their students. After all, it doesn't really matter that you can get in your prof's face if your prof can't help you understand the content. Glad to hear you were helped. Please help me now by telling all your friends about Aspire Mountain Academy, and together we can help more students!

@@AspireMtnAcademy My instructor isn't bad, in fact he's very thorough. But to kinda see those things done in the format you're gonna have to do them (I too am on pearson mylab and statcrunch) does so much more for me than does explaining it on a chalkboard or MS Paint.

@@ChannelCassio Well, I'm glad to see your instructor is at least somewhat on top of things. One of the challenges I have discovered students discover in the Pearson stats course is the need to learn two things at the same time. First is the stats, which it sounds like your prof is trying to teach you, and second is a new piece of software called StatCrunch. It's hard enough learning one of these, by put them both together, and you've got a real challenge. I'm glad you found my video helpful.

You're welcome. StatCrunch was probably coded by a pure statistician, and these folk don't think like you and me, especially when it comes to math. But I'm glad you find my videos helpful, since my overall purpose is to help students. Now please help me help more students by telling all your friends about this channel!

the data cruncher is cool and all but I can use that on the test. So how can i find the upper and lower limits to do the subtraction?

The confidence interval bounds come from an equation which you can find in your textbook. There is also an insert in the textbook listing many of the equations used in the course that many instructors allow their students to use during tests. With the equation in hand, you can use a calculator to find the bounds of your CI. That's the way I did it as an undergrad, but I'm all about easy, and many nstructors allow their students to use StatCrunch on tests, which definitely makes calculating the CI bounds easier. Sorry your instructor isn't one of them.

Can you show how to do this with a T84 calculator?!
@AspireMtnAcademy
@AspireMtnAcademy 4 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, but I would have to have a TI-84 to do it, and I don't. But I'd be surprised if there isn't someone who has made TI-84 videos. Let me know if you don't find any, and I'll consider making a new series.
