Dev of web-guy here, I saw this series when you released the first episode a while back and thought to myself how cool it’d be to see web-guy even mentioned in this series, I randomly saw the trailer for the finale pop up the other day, thinking nothing particularly of it I took a watch and seeing that small clip in the trailer for this finale was so exciting! I’m so so excited to see the finale to this series! Thanks for checking out my game, the last few weeks have been surreal for me, I’m literally just some 16 year old kid who wanted to take a shot at a spiderman vr game and somehow I’m here so genuinely, thank you for even clicking play, let alone mentioning it in this series, it means the world to me! 😁

I freaking love your game dude, I'm so impressed by it. I have been playing it earlier today and i was blown away. Last time i played it was when it was on sidequest. Back when it was just a city that you could swing around in. But now the movement got better, multiplayer got better, it's just a better experience in general. It's such a good game(btw I'm a game dev too)

That final swing was amazing! I myself have been having a hard time being myself and being excited in social situations has been something that effected me over the past couple months and seeing a KZbinr who has gone through the same thing and is given courage through his childish dreams and embraces them is so encouraging and really spoke to me. I've never seen a VR video with this much time and effort put in. The intro/prologue itself was my favorite part it was so hype and after this I'll probably check out part 1. Keep it up! I'm about 18 minutes into the video now and Im surprised how this has better editing than someone with a full team of editors and especially someone with millions of subs and views. I thought with this editing you would have at least 100k likes and a million subs but you only have 35k, you deserve much more attention dude and ill definetely be trying some of these games. After finishing the video I feel like I just watched a movie, the editing at the beginning and especially the end made me feel like I was watching a highly edited movie, the beginning and the end gave me chills, never stop bro, I can tell you're going places, someday a vr dev will look at this video and be inspired to make a new spiderman game that has potential, have a nice day.

I also really like the idea of flips in these games and you technically can do it in spiderman lair, there’s a great video by ItsMando which outlines how. It involves a spinning chair and setting your vr chat horizon sideways, but it is possible and looks a bit more intuitive than a flip button. (I haven’t actually tried it in vr yet)

Spiderinii was created by a guy called "Nimsony" from what I remember. He is making a full vr system, and that system should include grappling guns. Its not out yet, but the idea of a spiderman vr experience with that weighty and physics based feel isn't out the window. Cool video.

Not Spider-Man, but Slavka's Attack on Titan game has the best flipping mechanic that is based on how you tilt your head and is continuous so you can flip as long as you want and in any spiraling direction, granted you have enough air time.

I'm not discounting the games, they look amazing. However since this whole video is on the topic, I figure this is a good place to speak my mind on what I yearn for in a vr Spider-Man game, no, a great hero game in general. As a kid, being a hero while imaginatively playing is 60% just fighting in cool ways, 20% is imagining having the cool traversal powers, and the other 20% is something that's barely explored in a deep way in any hero game. That would be, ya know, SAVING people.. like a hero!! The way you save people in these kinds of games is just, beat everyone up until the wave limit or time ends with preset moves. It's set on tracks, and setting a game on tracks like that for combat gets a more polished and molded experience that makes you feel cool by design, but it also has downsides. I've been playing Just Cause 4, and that game doesn't purposely do much in terms of letting you save people directly, but it has potential in it's mechanics. The ability to grapple and drag someone anywhere, or move and lift them with the balloons on your terms, having to play with physics while doing so, makes you feel really powerful and invested in what your doing cause you have so much control. I don't just want those mechanics in a hero game, that's not what I'm saying. What I mean by bringing any of that up is that Just Cause makes me realize I want a hero game (in this case Spider-Man) where I can choose exactly where to web stick someone to a wall, pole, etc. I want to be able to attach bad guys to moving objects and have them get dragged away by physics. I want an NPC I'm saving to slip off a ledge accidentally and I want it to be on ME to shoot that web fast enough to catch them before they hit the ground, or I want the ability to grab them from midair myself and not have it feel like a simple button being pushed. I want to feel like I'm a hero who's actually SAVING people, and like the responsibility is on me. In Just Cause if you slip up on grabbing something the opportunity is gone and it feels bad, but that only means when I succeed that it feels freaking amazing. I want that kind of failure state in a hero game in general.
