Thank you. I am in PreCal now and it's been years since College Algebra (I changed my major to a math heavy major [Astronomy]). I had a problem on my homework just like your second example, except mine had F(x) = (4-3x)/(5x-4) and your step-by-step got me right through it to the point where I understand the purpose.

FYI: The inverse of a function of the form y = (Ax+B) / (Cx+D) is y = (-Dx+B) / (Cx-A). In your video, you have: y = (5x-3) / (2x+1) with A=5, B=-3, C=2, D=1 The inverse is: y = (-x-3) / (2x-5) Please watch my video entitled: "Inverse linear Ratios/Fractions theorem" for more details.

By adding(3) to both sides and subtracting(2xy)from both sides: x+3=5y-2xy x+3=y(5-2x) y=(x+3)/(5-2x) f^-1 (x)=(x+3)/(5-2x) Is my final answer right as it is multiplied by (-1)?
