All 3 houses are pretty decent, and I definitely enjoyed the tours 🙂 You should probably keep looking just to see what else is out there, and I think when you find just the right place for you and your doggos, you'll feel it. I really hope that you can find something in the Syracuse area so you can stay near your parents, because I know how important that is. My mom is going to be 74 in a couple of months, and I live just a few minutes from her. As a side note, I actually got her to go vegan a few years ago when she was 71. Good luck with your search, and I'm wishing you all the best, because you definitely deserve it, Jon 💚

Hey, Jon! Thanks for bringing us along on your house tours. Each had its own charm, but beware of potential mold in the first one, extent of foundation issues with the second and amount of upgrades for the third one. Best wishes with the process! You’re wise and will make a good decision. 🙂

For heating, oil or water filled portable heaters are cheap and effective. (if you didnt want a radiators type setup).

I like Old Red so far - nice & spacious, and full of character. Sounds like it needs a bit of work tho, but then I guess so does number one… 🙃 Im ignoring the cracks in the walls tho 🫣 I just think house 2 is pretty Good luck wit the search, Jon, and the business too!! Exciting stuff! 👏🏼

They all have nice qualities to them. The yards were nice, especially having pups and all. I find a nice yard kind of like an oasis and peaceful especially in the summer. And you can grow a garden. Lots of possibilities. When I was looking for a house I made a *wish list* and separated it by: must haves - for me back then it was: a fenced in yard, basement, opposed to a crawlspace, not too much in fixer upper status, location, not too big (2 bdrm)...then I sold it and moved into an apartment lol. I just didn't want all the maintenance stuff with a house. House hunting is fun though. But I'd take your time making a decision. I go by the philosophy of things happen and unfold as they're meant to. Sometimes the road and the path isn't always clear but eventually things have a way of working out. How exciting though and good luck on your house hunt! 🏡

I think the term is primary bedroom nowadays. ❤ I think I missed something- are you still involved with the farm sanctuary?

ah PRIMARY bedroom. I like the sounds of that better. I'm still involved with Mockingbird, just way more behind the scenes right now while I get my life back in order! I'll be out there tomorrow and Saturday for our fall fest.

House number 2 would definitely be out. Foundation issues and that weeping willow could be an issue. Their roots really look for water in pipes so outgoing sewage or incoming water could need dug up eventually if it's close enough. Best of luck dude to you and the pups.
@anjab6073Ай бұрын
I would go for house number 1. Get that water damage fixed and have the seller fix any mold issues. Like you said, you can knock out the wall between the bedrooms. I like small houses, usually cheaper as far as property taxes and home ins. (prices for home insurance are going up like crazy) , also less to heat and keep up, so saves money, time and resources. Good luck!!!
@witchyveganАй бұрын
That first house is cute and seems to have much fewer issues than the others. To save remodeling expenses and have more options later you could use one bedroom just for a bed (maybe a trundle bed to save space and still have the option of raising the trundle to have a larger bed when needed) and the other for dressers/a wardrobe and maybe a desk for a dressing room office combo. Is there a basement?
@jonteddstuffАй бұрын
There is no basement just a slab, but I'm going to build a garage and potential extension of the house in the future. For now I'll just get a little shed to store my tools and stuff!
@witchyveganАй бұрын
@jonteddstuff I hope your offer gets accepted if it's what you want! I downsized 2 years ago to a small house and love it. Less costs to maintain, no space for needless junk,and I'm starting a little pollinator garden 🦋. You can totally make it work for you and your girls 😊.

Thanks for bringing us along! Depending on how much work you’re up to putting into a place, my vote is for ol’ red. So much character , great yard, enough for the pups snd a garden & garage and I liked the size… bigger than the first little one and obviously smaller than the last one. The first one seemed nice and move in ready but still needs work and looks cramped. The big one would take a lot time for upkeep & cleaning once you do the fixing up you mentioned. On a personal note, looks like I’ve had a similar year to you. Not anything affordable for a single income for sale where I am right now so I’m renting for a year after 19 years of being home owner, but it’s a good place to regroup for me. Best wishes and big hugs. Can’t wait to see what you decide! Keep us posted :)

Do you have a real estate agent? If you know about real estate, I am trying to move from Central Florida. This place is totally anti vegan. I really dont fit here, and I am always having problems with the people, but especially with the local government. If you know about real estate and would like to help me get out of here, I rather pay you than a none vegan real estate agent which may not even do his or her job well. My house is worth about 179 to 185,000. I can give you 15,000. I like to leave to a place where I can find other vegans. There are no vegan communities here. I mean nothing that has to do with compassionate thinking is practiced here.

I do have a real estate agent. He's a good friend of mine and he's also Vegan. But tell me what kind of life you wanna live? Do you wanna be more in the country or more in the city. What city do you think you'd like to live in? I would definitely not pick Syracuse! There are some really great Vegan cities and surrounding areas all over the country
@samuelmiensinompe490210 сағат бұрын
@@jonteddstuff Probably in the country since the homes would be cheaper. I have been in Central Florida for too long. There are no animal right groups here or vegans. And I am far from the beach, so I have not volunteer for any issues that I like for quite a long time.
