Always a pleasure and never a chore watching your video’s Steve. Especially this one mate a 12th century church tower let me put it into perspective. It was built a couple 100 years before America was discovered how amazing is that? It’s still standing. all the best mate looking forward to the next one.

Great Vid. As a kid me and my brothers used to play in the old buildings, such an awesome place. So sad when it was demolished in the late 60's.. Still used to play up there afterwards when most of the ballastrade walling was still intact. Pity you didn't include the old cottages over the road from the sunken church (you can just see them through the trees at the end of the video) ❤❤❤❤

Did you notice the tower portion of the hall had disappeared in the later dated photo? Also coal- you probably know Woolaton Hall had possibly the 1st railway in the world to bring coal from Strelly pit. Wooden rails & horse drawn I shouldn't wonder. Great video Steve, I watched Ant Dakins vlog about Bramcote Hall a few weeks ago, wouldn't mind a mooch round myself but no time these days!

I've not mentioned yet how I really like this new intro, the tune is really lovely. It would be very cool to know which shot is from which episode (mostly the one with all the 'stuff' piled up to the tunnel roof I'm intrigued by!) I recognise a couple, but I haven't worked through all of the episodes yet!

Thank you Clair. The one with the rubbish up to the roof is of Mapperly tunnel. There is a decent video of that from a couple of years ago actually. They call that rubbish heap “The Crap Stack”

Steps "humanize" the site. Look down at the steps and begin walking up them. Slowly look up, letting yourself imagine you are following someone, and instantly traverse the difference in time.
