As you said, They probably thought they were going to get offlined. What they SHOULD have done, if they want to hide stashes outside, is to place a large planter box over top the stashes. It prevents them from being uncovered but they can come back later and break the planter box to get the stashes.

Build a two by two that can't be expanded at the front triangle, set guest codes, set the main code to unlocked. Let somebody move in. Wait a day or two, walk in with guest codes, take what you want, or let it sit longer.

My guess is that group decided they were done, but one person wanted to bury some items in case they changed their mine in the next 24 hours. Maybe something they do as a group quite often (change their minds). So rather than getting offlined and losing it all, they'd still have enough to just barely resecure and build back.

its actually hilarious how effective it is keeping your best loot in stashes. it's so easy to put them in places they will never ever be found even on monthlies. nothing funnier than seeing people waste explosives on a base you know has nothing valuable left in it.

My first two raids happened yesterday... first one was a neighbor, like maybe 15 foundations away in a 2x2, who tried to flamethrower into the top floor of my base (though there was no one into core as all there was in there was a workbench lvl 1, research table, and repair bench), so when he killed me after a minute of me just catching him and watching him, i killed him when he hid in a corner outside his base (he had a eoka to kill me but also in his inventory was a db, he didnt use it for some reason) and door camped him with the db he had on him, he had both airlock doors opened and they werent placed in a way to prevent outsiders was walking in, and his tc was unlocked and i fully emptied his small 2x2, took every item in there except the tc, of course. second one was a base somewhere off in the mountains by dome, i eco raided, wasting a bunch of scrap n shit (full inventory just about) and they were poor... i felt genuinely bad so i put a metal door on their base and gave them a code and farmed a bunch of stone and wood for them, but some dickhead killed me so i had to refarm, smelted quite a bit of metal for them and left... and thats why i personally dont like eco-raiding, for the bases that can be eco raided there is too much of a possibility of loss instead of gain but a successful raid is always nice, especially when you dont instigate the beginning of the raid

This is what I did when I was raided twice in 2 days. Hid all my rockets, scrap etc. Nobody ever found it. I would also make wood bases to look like only primitive guys lived there and hid my stuff under the floors lol. Always worked as long as a cheater wasn't around or people around to hear what I was doing lol

The stashes is for sure cheaters, because they knew for sure they would get ban, so they can come with a different account to get the stuff and play rich the wipe...

This is common with cheater groups, they think they will get banned or a member will and then the whole groups gets banned for association, and sometimes the codelocks get changed to stop them getting back in the base so when they come on other accounts they can still get the loot.

My thought process is they were a group and the group wanted to quit the wipe and they'd wanted D spawn and one of the group members wanted to come back on to the server to play their own wipe so he's stashed a bunch of their s*** to get a very good Head start

If you think you are going to be off lined for pissing people off you hid stashes. Then when you do get raided they get nothing for the trouble and when you get back on you simply run back and grab your stuff to restart the wipe.
