Finding visible Gold on bedrock near an old Tasmanian Tiger Den!!! (Thylacine)

In this video we go gold prospecting at a creek in Tasmania's north west. We stumble across what could have once been a Tasmanian tigers (Thylacines) cave or Den.
The gold panning is slow but as the day progresses we find good gold and even visible gold sitting on bedrock.

Good one guys , you found the motherlode crevice , but you would have got more out of it if you had a pick hammer , and a yabbie pump . That blue grey decomposing bedrock would still hold more if you chipped into it , but you can never get it all off the top of the bedrock unless you suck it up . Without my yabbie pump , i may as well stay at home , it's the most useful implement in the arsenal of equipment for sucking up fine gold off the top of bedrock . You done real well Levi and Bro , cheers .

Hey Levi, you need to get a pan with some more aggressive rifles. it will help you with your panning especially if you have any clays in your pan it really helps break them up faster

You need to reduce that clay all the way Dow,n to watery mud you fella. Clay will stick to any gold in the pan.you will then throw it out if you don,t dissolve all your clay. Lovely country there a lot of what I think is Huron pine. Good timber country.

Your initial panning looks a little fast, like you're pushing the soil out. If that is the case, you could be pushing the gold out too. Rushing. The way I had it explained to me, think of the lapping of a lake and that's the kind of force you want to use. You want to lap the water out and not force it out.

I know it's 3yrs later and it's probably useless to leave a comment but I have to get something off my chest. I've had much better friends than my 2 brothers. My older brother is always criticisizing me, and my younger brother also criticizes me and blames me somehow for ruining his childhood.??? 🤔hmmmm? What? I did have a best friend years ago and his name was Joe Moss, he was 6'5" tall and I'm barely 6' we got along like brothers should be, he taught me how to flyfish for trout. He had my back and I had his. Sadly he went through a horrible divorce, his wife left him with the baby boy and she just simply walked away from it. She abandoned her child and her marriage all in one fail swoop. Like she had no emotion at all for her baby. At almost the same time my wife left me for reasons unknown. Luckily we didn't have children, but I bought her the dream house she wanted and in the end it still wasn't enough to please her. The moral of the story is that brothers is a loose term. I haven't seen my real brother for years, maybe someday I will meet him on the other side of this wretched path that we call life.
