Recently, a person that I love in my life asked me
“If you were to tell me about yourself, without using your job as an attribute - how would you explain yourself?”
And… to my embarrassment I didn’t really know where to begin ?
How do I explain to someone who I am, what Im good at what I’m bad at?
And why do we use our jobs to identify ourselves?
What value is that?
Cue: existential crisis.
And after much though -- I actually still don’t really know where to start.
But I guess here’s a few things I hope you can relate to: r
- I am 23
- I am an oldest daughter to immigrant parents (enough said)
- I have too many hobbies of vast range all the way from singing to fishing.
- I love Jesus.
- I really struggle to rest and do nothing.
- I think I might have just a sprinkling of adhd but don’t we all?
- I wish to be more financially literate
- I pursued classical music for 18 years.
- If I think about oysters for too long I may gag.
- The people in my life are my biggest currency.
- The saddest movie of all time is (feel free to quote me on this) is finding dory and on that note
-- welcome to the first episode of:
“Finding yewon”
