Sadly that isn't really true throughout the entire community. From what I've seen, especially in the Chinese speaking community(one I am part of so I would know), what you have and what you wear can greatly influence how you are treated. You easily see this at places like prairie home space: under normal circumstances an ikemen looking sky kid would get much more attention than a moth looking sky kid. Just a pair of cool pants or an elder hair can change the reception of your sky kid.

This is not 100% true though. Some players will randomly call you ugly.. Many players used to judge the masks from Prophecy calling it ugly so none wears it occasionally. The same goes for some masks in Gratitude, they kinda look scary, intimidating, large, that it doesn’t fit some cosmetics well. My friend’s friend wears that dinosaur looking mask from gratitude and some players calls her ugly because of the mask, so she also felt ugly wearing it.

I'm a cosmetic collector so I can't really save myself from buying unecessary cosmetics- Only recently I have a more consistent vibe of a small-girl looking skykid who appears angel-like (always have a lot of white) helping those in need and later quickly fading to help another people. It's that kind of character a moth will see as guardian angel, appearing in the most difficult time. My sky kid usually watches moths grow on their own from a fair distance and guides them only when they feel lost. It really fits me because I'm an introvert despite enjoying helping others. I feel much better when I don't have chat unlocked with my sky friends and don't feel pressured to talk to them. I love helping strangers with doors, saving them from krills, crabs, rain and toxic waters.

I think it's funny how when I was new, I wanted to be ikejou, but now I just wear cute, dreamy outfits (my most common style is air prophet hair/daydream forester hair, rose mask, bloom cape, troupe greeter pants, and guitar or flute). I also now have different outfits entirely, like my yeti/postman combo (I adore them so much-), an ankle-biting chibi, an advanced version of moth me, and with the arrival of the thrillseeker, a new OC I call Stratus who may look intimidating, but is very sweet :>

it was this series of vids that allowed me to make my Skykid (Armani) who they are. they‘re supposed to be a small and affectionate person who goes around and just be with their friends. so i thank you guys for that. (just two outfits i found out worked well with Dreams and Assembly sets of cosmetics, feel free to use them) i find using the yeti pants with the tarantula cape makes for a cute fluffy spider (similarly to a tarantula) and the combination of the scaredy cadet hair and the yellow robe cape from dreams makes for a cleaning scrub outfit

Hey you gave me an idea what to wear next for my sky kid. I often dressed my kid as an ikemen, beautiful elegant woman, school girl/boy, old man, wizard, samurai, cosplays the elders, and sometimes scary looking ugly kid. I’ll put that earth trial cape and yeti pants as one of my scary looking ugly kid. All cosmetics are beautiful, don’t get confused of my last category. I just like to look ugly and weird sometimes because everyone wants to be cool, beautiful and handsome. I’ll do the opposite if I feel like it. Hehe!!

I forgot to add the Celestial/Heavenly category since I also often dressed my kid as an angel or a celestial being. I haven’t tried the opposite of it though since I don’t have the halloween cape that have orange color at the inside of it and also doesn’t have the black cape yet.

This video has great advice and I think it's really cool how people make characters out of their skykids! I'm the type to have style whiplash from day to day though 🙃 I feel a need to make my outfit fit my mood, or sometimes I just need to wear red (for example) or a certain hair to feel comfortable in my digital skin.

I found a little design that looks ‘fancy’ :D -prophecy pants -manta cape/any cape with yellow -an assembly mask (or anything of your choice!) -any pendant of choice! (As long as it’s yellow ;) And there ya go! I was goin for a more yellow-grey vibe here, but now you got an idea for a design too!

Every time I change outfit I take screenshots. I'm hoping to draw a lineup of all the appearances my skykid has had over time one day Events also influence my style, personally. I see my skykid as myself, so things that happen in my life influence how I dress in the game. For instance, after the Aurora encore concerts ended, I removed the wings in grief and put a cloak instead, to look like I was trying to stay warm with scraps. I felt it reflected what I was feeling at the time. From there, my outfit has gradually become happier, cosmetics changing one by one. I now look like a happy flower :3

I like that you aren't judged by what cosmetics you have, and can just be whatever you'd like in the sky community. I'm going for a mysterious light or firework themed sky kid. And even if I don't have any season pass, older seasonal or most ts cosmetics, I'm okay with that! It'll all work it's way up over time. I even got a list on what TS I'm waiting for and what item I want from them, like Sassy's mask or Thrillseeker's pants. Just because you might not have the cosmetics that are considered cool, you can still look nice! Right now I have the moth hair, Shushing Light Scholar cape, long pants, (base game) Abyss mask and firework staff. It's a style I can pick with a small amount of cosmetics and still like! There are many cosmetics in sky, and something you like is soon to come eventually.

My sky character is supposed to be silly and kind of childish, like, they'll go up to people unlit and spam sit. ..mainly if they're recording though.. I'm trying to get big floofy puffy pants to have a clown feel, but the next traveling spirit is in like 2 weeks and I dont think it's gonna have puffy pants.. None are in store, so how do I pass the time more quickly? Candle runs are getting boring..

I wear the bat cape with the Troupe Greeter pants all the time, it's a very comfy aesthetic look and goes really well with short/brain hairs :D Also, I have a few cosmetic combination ideas: Peeking postman cape + any red gratitude mask Double high-five hat + Prophecy blue cape Days of fortune head orange + yellow cape + shell collector hair (it makes you look like an orange ice cream) Sanctuary bow tie + black cape (looks like a suit) Also, the Sanctuary sunglasses are very cool, shame that I don't see anyone wearing them anymore

My main character is simple, a navy caped skykid with the rejecting voyager mask, the confident sightseer mask, the polite scholar pants, and a piano. They are a friendly peaceful guide who likes to guide moths. Their style represents who they are and I gotta thank you for that. I change style everyday for convenience I like wearing unique cosmetics in isle & daylight prairie (to kidnap moths) and wear moth-like style in wasteland (so the veterans do most of the work when lighting the huge wax plant lmao, yes, sorry not sorry) its basically my daily routine now 😌

I want to get all the cosmetics I can but I'm trying to focus on my first skykid to begin with. Her name is Blue, she's kind of tall and for now she got a light blur cape, blue beret and the masque with long horns. It's really her vibe and now I just need fancy pants and I'll be all set for her, I could focus on another skykid. This video was actually pretty helpful and fun to watch! I really like to see people play with each other and showing off their styles/vibes. I think what I like the most is the story they can make being their skykids.

Oo thank you! This really helped ^^ And i want to share my main sky look! Name : Rin (ofc-) Personality : Observant, pessimistic, caring, and shy. Favourite color : Black, white, and navy blue. Style : Casual but cute I wear : Black cape Chibi mask Rythm pants from troupe greeter/welcome emote Hair from confident sightseer And any back cosmetic will do! I just often use the hammock or the harp. (If i wanted to be tall i usually go for the 'Ikejou'/beautiful lady look like switching the mask to the scarred tear drop mask from laid-back pioneer but i think the mask from the botanist spirit from the current season works well with it too and i use the bun hair from the piggyback pioneer(?) but i think any hair looks fine with it)

I have a few looks to pursue. Two of them are dancers, one with a sunny personality and the other more shy and timid. They both have a mysterious feel and for a long while I wanted to aim for the hide n seek pioneer's dress, pink or purple cape and the waving bell maker's mask. They all are very high on the spirit trees so as soon as season of performance arrived I completely fell in love with the new cosmetics and I even found a masculine spin to my skykid thanks to the mellow musician's mask. The timid dancer still needs a long hairstyle (I haven't decided which) and an appropriate dress, I wanted the shy stance for this persona and immediately got to relive the spirit as a daily task :D I'm almost done with the sunny personality dancer's look, I hope the sassy drifter comes again so I can collect its stance, it's unfortunate how daily quests aren't tasked at isle :/ I hope I can collect all dance emotes so I can call myself a "dancer" lol

I have two skykids, and we have different style to wear. My main account is the social one, she have a lots of cosmetic, I buy them all, constantly changing style. But my alt have different lifestyle, she's quiet, very personal, and don't have a lot of cosmetics, but I keep some things same as main, because I like to be twinning with my alt. There's some thing I noticed along the way, because I always chibi(on both accounts), I almost never use any other mask (but, who am I lied to haha there's some exceptions) so usually I didn't buy any mask, and for instruments, both accounts will buy it, so I don't need to depend on one account if I want to play music. But on cape and other items, it depends ☺️ and usually I don't buy 2 and 4 level emote on alt to save hearts :3

Currently I'm using the Boogie Kid pants, Slouching Soldier cape, Scuba mask, and Confident Sightseer hair. I think the cape and pants especially go together, since the cape is black with an undertone of blue, as are the gloves and boots of the pants. Looks good both tall and chibi :)

Me who started off with season of the Little Prince, I got all of the cosmetics (except for the astroid cape and sword pants) and I rocked the Jotaro look for a bit before changing it into many other random styles I was vibing with, and with the season of Flight the goggle hair and orange pants reminded me of Tails which inspired me to try a Sonic look (with the blue cape and gold lining, spiky hair and the blue pants from this current season) Sorry about not saying the names of the spirits these cosmetics came from I just have terrible naming memory 😭

As someone who loves things like the night sky, trying to find cosmetics that fit the intended vibe for my character are proving... impossible. I've found a height and hairstyle I'm happy with, and a potential mask, but the outfits and capes... yeah, no glittering galaxy cape for me (odd considering Orbit and everything.) I like darker colors and night-related themes, which are super rare or nonexistent in Sky as a whole. My next best thing is a tie between a base constellation cape that costs 75 hearts, and a TS cape that costs 60 candles if they're ever coming back. Best outfit options thus far are 1) ANOTHER spirit that hasn't showed up as a TS AT ALL yet, 2) the outfit from Days of Rainbow, and 3) a knockoff Valley Elders outfit from YET ANOTHER spirit that hasn't come back as a TS.

I can agree with this!! I've been here since Gratitude, but I don't have a lot of cosmetics in particular (Can't save candles for the life of me and do most seasons casually lol), but I thought I'd share what I managed to string together from what I had- Hope it helps someone! My character's name is Prix, who I tried to give a "Big Sisterly" vibe. She has the Peeking Postman's (Bunny Dream Spirit) cape and pants with the Laidback stance to give a protective look, but the Duck mask from Rhythm to add a bit of a humorous, playful vibe. Like a big sister :D As for hair it's either the Isle Ponytail or Confident Sightseer's hair cause I liked them lmao This'll probably change once more once Days of Rainbow roll around, but my candles are just gonna have to take that L for the cosmetics 😤

I like to share what I wish my sky character looks like: I wanted the fire trail hair with black and red cape and with pants that are like baggy jeans. And a t-shirt. With an addition of hint of gold. He also has the season of professy???professional???? Mask aka the black Doberman halo mask for appearance, he is a teenager that like to mess with people younger than him, and pull pranks with his friends, but becomes protecive when something serious is happening his name would be named Gustavo, Enot, or Xalistor

I wear whatever feels right and comfortable at the time, and also based on my mood. Once, I wasnt in the mood for anything, couldnt decide what to wear without changing it again after a short time, didnt feel like looking feminine or masculine and the previous “neither” outfits I wore didnt feel right either. So I tried to do a “nothing” or “blank” outfit as much as possible with the cosmetics I had, which was: no mask, cat hood, performance black outfit, abyss hat, brown cape. ...currently my outfit gives me e-boy vibes for some reason- *squints at the results when I googled for eboy meaning*...huh. I’m not sure why eboy had popped into my head when I first made the outfit, but I found the outfit adorable especially since my skid is short so. It’s a sad “eboy” too lol, which is the second outfit I liked to use the storyteller mask on, the other outfit was sad butterfly fairy
