Cebu's Longest Beach (Shoreline) | San Remigio Cebu Philippines

San Remigio is home to Cebu's longest beach (shoreline) up in the north. I compare this beach to a couple of other beaches - one in San Remigio Cebu (proper) and probably the best beach in northern Cebu's mainland - Maravilla Beach. I take a look at where to stay in San Remigio at a couple of beach resorts - Elegant Beach Resort and Orongan Beach Resort in San Remigio Cebu. In future videos I will look at other places to stay in Maravilla and San Remigio.
I look at entrance fees to these resorts as well as overnight stays. These resorts offer simple cheap accommodation by the beach. Starting from tents up to air con rooms. I also look on how to get to San Remigio from Cebu City.

I was there in Maravilla in the early 90's as part of a choir group that was invited to sing at their "Fiesta". On that note, if you are visiting these rural places, time it during their patron saint's birthday (Fiesta)...if you can. The place will be more "lively". During my stay there, Red Horse and Tanduay gave my kidneys a good work out :) Great video. It brought back fond memories...if those coconuts could talk..lol. I will soon visit Cebu as soon as international travel eases up on cumbersome rules and regulations. You sir are living the dream :)

Yes fiestas are always a good time to go (except if you looking for a quiet time!). Red horse and lechon ... yum! Brown outs are still an issue though! Keep safe.

Yeah real estate is at a premium in Hong Kong. When I stay my room is always so tiny :) Maybe those new rooms they are building at the resort will be a lot larger.

Honestly, the beaches in San Remigio town in Cebu are not that popular to many Cebuano locals maybe perhaps the local officials are either not keen enough to promote their tourist attractions or simply don't know how to promote them. But this one is a shocker to me because the beach really looks stunning and I was even wondering how on earth this piece of beautiful beach front doesn't get some kind of 'development' compared to similar long stretches of beach in White Beach in Moalboal, Santiago Bay in Camotes, Santa Fe in Bantayan Island and Malapascua Island. Certainly there are other developed public beaches in Cebu but they're just a few hundred feet to a few hundred meters long. But this one in San Remigio is a surprising revelation to me.

Yeah Maravilla Beach was the pick of the bunch. It was suprisingly good. When talking to locals there this beach kept popping up in the converstation.

@@epicurean1868 Thailand is not more modern, only Bangkok and the touristy places look modern. Outside these places, they're just like the rest of Southeast Asia or the Philippines less touristy places.

I travelled around Thailand in the late 90s for a few months. Each place has their pros and cons. My fathers actually from Germany, up in the north. I remember backpacking there as a late teenager and getting in trouble with my grandma coz i didn't speak any German 😀

Guys please travel just our and half longer and you’ll find your self on beautiful white sands beaches of Santa Fe on Bantayan Island (no rocks and turquoise clear water) you’ll thank me later. Even in low tide beaches there are awesome and you be able to swim at any time of the day and even night.
