Wow at what point does a photo so manipulated become a fake image ? I am not a fan of this ''fixing'' this is not honest photography but it is an excercise in major editing skills, ok for the instagramists but not serious photography, Gary you can do so much better than this without all the fixing.
@jdb194 жыл бұрын
I agree completely. This isn't fine art anything. This is graphic photos for decorating the living room of folks who have no idea what fine art is. Good for you, you create this stuff, you sell it, you make a buck, and everyone's happy, but please don't crap on us and call this fine art.

So it’s not actually a photograph as you’ve removed loads of bits. Camera never lies, only the post processing completely changes everything.

Think you would love Cornwall for pictures. We are surrounded by beaches and cliff tops and I think you would make St Michael's Mount look amazing. Also all the derelict tin mines, Bodmin Moor, Botallack, Godrevy light house, and, of course, we are known for rough seas and surfing. You would need wet weather clothing though as Cornwall has it's own climate and when it rains, it really rains, but when it is nice, it is fantastic.

Few points gary. 1. I need to head back here soon 2. Love the editing, but preferred the colour 3. Great vlog 4. Stop visiting places that I've been, your images look great and make mine look mediocre 😂😂😂 5. Only. Joking about number 4, love seeing how you make the image look completely different 6. The person who commented about the place being over photographed is wrong, this goes to show that different images can be got from the same location that many have visited

In edit portion you moved so fast that it is difficult understand your works.I like most of your fine art photo shoots.If you show us in details of your works in photoshop, more people will subscribe your channel and will also earn more 'Like's. Lovely looking photographs but the term 'fine art' has been hijacked by people making decorative art, this isn't a Rembrandt nor is it an Ansel Adams, a Minor White, or an Edward Weston.

Gary great vlog as usual and fab shots. Do you use the Canon M50 when you habd hold the vlogging camera and what do you hold it or whatever camera you use. It is remakably steady and as a fellow landscape vlogger I know that there is nothing more distracting than wobbly or distracting hand held footage of oneself talking into the camera. Thanks, Fergus.
@GaryGough3 жыл бұрын
Hi Fergus, I do indeed use an M50 to vlog with. I use it attached to a lightweight tripod. I simply hold the colapsed lightweight tripod when I'm walking and set the tripod up normally when I need to talk into it when I'm using my camera. I hope that makes sense? I should make a video on it :)

Every time we shoot its challenging. Moving subjects can be easily removed by increasing the long exposure time at 2, 4 or 8 minutes using 10-15 stop filters. I normally find this is easily done, however the main issue I found in the video was the weather. I would have gone on a more cloudier day, likely out of tourism season which is about now. I do find earlier in the morning is best, just after 1000am or just as the sun has risen.

Look at the time you spent planning the shot. the hard work in scouting and imaging. and finally so much effort in simplifying the image with post.
