Hi, I was wondering how the lace fabric look differently bw fine gauge and standard gauge, using the same yarn, could you pls make a video on that. I have a standard 930. Dont know if it worth the money to invest in over 2k fine gauge sk830 or not. TYSM

I spent very few money for my sk830 here in Italy (where it's a very rare model)… almost a gift! but I know, I've been the luckiest knitter on the earth ;) sometimes happens! I could make a blogpost on my website, with pictures, let's see!

Is this done on a normal carraige or do you buy a lace carriage

it's done with a Lace carriage, it's different from the 'normal' knitting carriage

You can do this manually with taking on and off stitches to form the picots

My machine has nothing fancy its frorm 1930s and this is one of the first patterns i tried because its easy to do. Look it up but it is a bit fiddly good to use a tight woven yarn a fluffy one makes it more difficult to latch the yarn on and off but the little hand tools are fantastic. My pattern book for the manual stuff is the busch ideal home knitter manual available free online.

@@claudratatatata Thanks, it’s rare. I thought I could modify my LC580 but I can’t find anyone who knows anything about it.

Exactly unfortunately it's rare.. I'm trying to modify a standard RJ1 ribber carriage to do the DBJ with the bird's'eye, inspired by a tutorial by a member of the "SilverReed electronic knitting machine" Facebook group. I'd try asking there (if you're that Michael D. I assume you are) :) @@michaeld1541
