A tip from a northerner. Your battery voltage drops when it's freezing, especially as it ages. If you crank it while cold, you'll kill it pretty quick. It will be dead and discharged. Instead, give it two or three cranks and then let it sit for a good minute. That's the hard part, being patient. The draw on the battery for those two or three cranks will actually heat it internally just a skosh, and allow the chemical reaction to increase and give you a bit more voltage. Try it again for a few cranks but if it doesn't sound any better give it another minute or two. Then give it all it's got. A lot of the times it will go, just depends on how cold it is and how easy the vehicle usually starts anyhow, but at least it will increase your chances a fair bit.

Hey Chris!! Hope all is well with ya!! With machinery it seems you always get one that’s cold blooded. It’s likely just the battery. You have challenges with that even when it’s warm it seems. You will get it figured out. If you get a new battery & it still is an issue there’s some great hints by others on how to help your chances. A little Go Go juice doesn’t hurt, a lot can. You know what you’re doing!! 😊😊😊. Looks like 2025 could be a good year!! You are definitely looking at a few months work available with just what you talked about!! Then there’s the stuff/deals you are working on as well of course!! Might be time for 1 or 2 staff, but that can hit the bottom line a bit! Then again, you finish more jobs 😂😂. Why do those trucks have 4 axles if they're never down or beds completely full ?
@mattmanyam12 күн бұрын
It's hard to turn, and hard on tires when turning, when all the axles are down. They're for paved roads that would likely suffer damage while running over them. The dirt roads you see them on around Chris don't care, cause they are relatively easy to repair, and get much more regular maintenance anyway.
@TECHNOPADAWAN12 күн бұрын
Oy necessary when passing DOT with heavy load
@johncates508112 күн бұрын
I understand the theory behind it. In Ga they used to allow a third drop axle and because of supposed road damage the state made them stop using them. I wonder if NC is the same way, I don't recall ever seeing a quad axle completely full in one of his videos
@stevekline663411 күн бұрын
Pennsylvania only allows one helper axle with tandems. There are exceptions for ag use.
