Very unfortunate on the 2024 Crosstrek not working out for you. I was smiling as your were talking about the Crosstrek as when I first walked into the Subaru dealership I too had my mind set on the Mazda CX5 however I went for the Crosstrek instead. I personally prefer the 2024 cause it has better standard features and even though the forums complain about the touchscreen, I haven't had an issue so far. I do wonder which trim you sat inside, cause there is a difference between the seats of the Crosstrek. The manual cloth (Touring), The powered cloth seat (Onyx) and the Leather seats (Limited). Between all the models the Onyx trim has softer seats as it was a replacement for the "Outdoor" trim. The onyx trim is the one with the yellow fog-lights and bolsters on the seats. The 2024 Mazda CX5 GS trim is pretty good and honestly a better deal then the 2023 as they made more stuff standard this year. The previous year had full analogue gauges and no ac vents for rear passengers.

The 2024 was a Touring, which is the trim I would have wanted, while the 2023 was I believe the 2023 equivalent to the Onyx. Interesting, maybe that was the explanation then.

@@themaritimegirl The 2023 Outdoor trim has the star-tex seats which is this durable leatherette material that you can wash off and stuff. You did mention that rather than the seat its the position and buckle that was the issue so I am not sure if other trims are better. Personally I didn't like the 2023 Outdoor as the interior felt cheap (especially compared to the Mazda) and I really couldn't forgive the halogen headlamps in 2023. Hope things work for you with the Mazda CX5. Shame on the sales experience but as long as you don't sign up for any additional stuff and get your keys, you can say bye to the dealership. When I was still looking at the CX5, I used to watch this person's videos to hype myself up. He repairs old electronics and makes long form videos on his CX5 ownership experience. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmLak2unrrWol68

Sucks about the HR-V, I expect better of Honda. But at least the CX-5 is the end to this quest. I do look forward to the videos on it!

Watched this one after the newest video and would be curious what you'd have thought about driving an Outback, we share a LOT of the same criteria in cars and that one has always won out for me. I require AWD and I too am a fan of the CVT despite the internet hatred of them.

Brief history: In 2014, my mother want to buy a 2009 Toyota Camry LE four-door sedan and replace the vehicle including 2004 Kia Sedona LX four door minivan, and by the time the car runs great, although the head restraint is very uncomfortable for what they tilt it to the front and really hurts our neck so we switch the head restraint to the back of the seat and feels better now. It was a sweet ride and very reliable than Kia Sedona LX van. Unfortunately, by the time in November of 2015, we received the yellow sticky note that was left on the door with phone number, she called it saying that the car is repoed and I was very irate for what Sam Swope Toyota Dealer screwed our payment up and demand the car back for what we restored the car and get it going again. I told myself, "Sam Swope Toyota Dealer can have the car, and Sam Swope Toyota Dealer can go to hell with the car." It really breaks my heart how the dealer took advantage of my mother about the car, and I can't believe it how did it happen. Therefore, 2009 Toyota Camry LE is repoed. =(

Hard seats in cars are not good at all. I drove a BMW that had very hard seats. Have you looked at Volkswagen cars I recently bought a car and went with VW. Very happy with it.

Why do I feel like the sales person from the Mazda dealership said some sort of slur?
@themaritimegirl Жыл бұрын
Nope, it was nothing personal at all. It was a bit of a freak-out upon realizing that I have been test driving other cars.

@@themaritimegirl I'm happy to hear it was nothing personal. I do wonder how hard it would be to switch to a different sales rep at the same dealership (so the disrespectful rep doesn't get a sales bonus) while keeping your reservation.

I don't really care enough anymore to find out, to be honest. Once I have the car it won't matter.
