I’ve been doing this method since I became natural 6.5 years ago. From having short hair to long hair, it has always worked for me even if I don’t have fine/low density hair. The one pineapple method never worked for me either because it would stretch my hair way too much just like you said (and I do have very coily hair). Thanks for this great video!

Great idea! My hair is long-and I “pineapple “ a little differently as well. I very loosely gather all my hair at the very top of my head- and I give it a super loose twist then i loosely clip it. I end up looking like a an old victorian woman, but it does wonders for body in my hair!

Brilliant! Right now I am using root clips ('cause my hair is so low density I can't "medusa coil" & a bonnet and spray the (under canopy?) with a mister in the am. Does this work for caucasian hair too? I noticed that you used an afro-pick to restyle? I'm going to try this anyways...before I return my bonnet. (LillySilk on Amazon makes The Best (turn it inside out) The other bonnets are too heavy and flatten my curls. Oh, and mini invisabobbles are great ties for our hair type. BTW I SO Jealous of your hair!

Oooh, gotta try this. But not sure if it will work cause my hair is past my shoulders. But hopefully it will. Tried it loose in my bonnet but it gets too flat on top even though I put it in upside down. Maybe this trifecta will help. I've even used a big clip just on top of my head in my bonnet to keep the top part together.
